Stayed here 2 nights for summer fest, only 15min to downtown!! It's clean, safe (security guard patrolled all night), and best of all location is awesome!! Like other reviews yes it's just a glorified parking lot with water/sewer/50amp, but I wasn't going to hang out at the site. I will be back again!!

An RV park in the middle of the city
By user-5802519... on 2017-10-23.
This is basically a parking lot on the Fair Grounds with full hook-ups. We stayed only one night and the main area was full so they put us in the overflow lot. It wasn't very level like the main RV area but was doable. This was during Summerfest so they had a shuttle to get you to Henry Maier Festival Park.
It was clean and the bathrooms and showers were clean so for an over-nighter is was pretty darn good.
I would return if we were going to another event in the Milwaukee area but not sure I'd stay but maybe a few nights if something didn't attract me to the area.

Clean, convenient city campground

I don't know of many large cities that have a year-round campground. I'm glad Milwaukee does. This is not a rustic retreat but for a metropolitan campground, it is great. Well located on the north end of the city. RV only camping on asphalt lot. Full hookups available though we only used electric. Good wifi. Clean, well maintained bathroom and shower room (separate spaces). Onsite laundry available though we didn't use. Personnel on site 24/7.

Good Rv park in the middle of the city
By user-4929309... on 2017-10-23.
The facilities are clean. Wifi is excellent and people are for the most part friendly. This is a pet friendly park. The staff are friendly and helpful. It doesn't have a park for kids, but there are parks nearby. It has buses that come though and can be used to access most of what milwaukee has to offer. It is open year round and the monthly rate is reasonable. I only gave a 4 because I have kids and it would be nice to have one on Site. For those without children it would be a five.

The good news is that you are right next to the festival/ carnival area. The bad news is that you are right next to the festival / carnival area. That means loud music, PS systems, and of course, my favorite, screaming children.
Most sites are pitched and will take some leveling. You can back in around the edges but will have to alternate nose / tail to get to hookups in the middle. Bring lots of extra hoses...all of them.
The front desk staff are not RV'ers, they are mostly High Schoolers. Do not expect them to know anything about RV's, local venues, locations, what day it is...etc.
Other than being 365, the laundry facility is the best thing about this RV park but sadly it is not being taken care. It was clean as a whistle last spring but this year is filthy and showing its age.
There are some strips of grass to walk the dogs. There is the West Allis Farmers Market on Saturdays and a flea market on Sundays. Both are small but close.

Big, secure, centrally located

All asphalt, roomy, fenced and secure. Great location in the city for tourists or baseball fans. Uber to Miller Park was $14. Spot was $40. No dirt camping but perfect to visit Milwaukee. We camped in a motor home.

Warning… Long review… The campground itself was ok. The one staff person we had contact with was horrible. I believe her name was L. She was a twenty-something who clearly wanted to be anywhere but where she was. We pulled in and stopped right out front where you’re supposed to. When she was able to pull herself away from whatever she wasn’t supposed to be doing on the computer, she had no idea really how to get us checked in. We had paid for an electric only site. This is normally is the easiest sites to put someone in. Tell person where to get water, where the dump station is and have a nice day. In & out. When we asked her where we could get water from she looked completely confused like she couldn’t understand why we would need water. Her response…”Water? Well I don’t know about that. I JUST work here!” I asked if she was new and she said no. We suggested that the water might be at the dump station. Again another confused look. I asked if she knew where the dump station was and her response AGAIN… “ hmmm, don’t know. I JUST work here!” Finally gives us our site. We drive around to it and there is an 18 wheeler mobile surgery parked in our spot plus the 4 spots next to it and 2 cars next to that. Tried to call office so we didn’t have to drive back around and no answer 3 times so I walk back over to the office and as I walk in she is again playing on the computer while the phone is ringing. I asked which number is a good one to call for problems (there were 3 listed) she pointed to one and I asked if that’s the same one to the line that was ringing right now and she said yes. (Oh and she never did answer the phone the whole time I was there and it rang 4 times) I explained the situation and she said she didn’t know anything about that and I kid you not said for the THIRD time “I JUST work here!” She put me in a spot a few spots down. Meanwhile the hubby is in a temp spot filling our fresh water tank. I walk back over to the site and it has a vehicle in it that obviously belonging to one of the campers parked on either side of it. One camper had 2 vehicles so basically taking up 3 spots and the other had one so taking up 2 spots AND the spot would not have fit our rig & truck which was why the rigs already there had parked in the adjacent spot. Back to the office and now I want a manager. She disgustingly picks up the phone, dials a number and sighs repeatedly since no one picks up. I said “hmmm. Guess you know how it feels now huh?” She then says she’ll upgrade us to a bigger and better site. So after 30 mins of back and further we got “upgraded” to an uneven, on a hill, gravel lot with electric & water. We had to level the rig up so high it took us 15 mins to get unhitched. I would never stay here again and EVER nor to I recommend this place to anyone! The guy we talked to to make the reservation was so nice (Luke) I just knew it was gonna be great. Too bad he wasn’t at the front desk!

Good experience
By user-5827359... on 2018-03-14.
Family of four stayed for two months. Fine spot- great lighting and security. A bit noisy by highway but got used to it quick. Easy access to highway though. Showers are clean and hot!

Filthy !
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Filthy !
2 urinals out of order with signs on them.
2 toilets plugged and overflowing.
Showers filthy.
I talked to the 3 people in front taking money - no improvement.
No maintenance workers - just money takers in the front area ...
Filthy !

Great Location

This park has the best location. We went to a Brewer's game. It is 2.2 miles away from Miller Park. The Hank Aaron Bike Trail runs on one side of the park. It was quieter than we expected given the location. It was clean and facilities were fine
