Ww were here for three nights. The first night the water went off just after we got hooked up. Water line break. They fixed it sometime in the middle of the night. We were along General Booth Blvd and the noise might have bothered us, but our A/C is so loud, it drowned out the noise. The jets overhead only happened in the daytime, so no problem. The water went off again on our last night as my husband was showering. I went to the office to complain and the woman was less than polite or friendly. She said it was already turned back on. The roads are very bad, but our site was fine. We are in a 37 ft motorhome. We would come back, as the other park was very congested.
Amazingly friendly staff. New bath houses with hot water on demand. Activities for kids. Water, electric fine. GREAT WIFI!
We came in after the July 4 weekend and the weather caused several sites, ours included, to become muddy messes. We requested a change to a better site and were readily accommodated. It was a very good one too as it had decent shade, was pretty level, and had a table and fire ring. The check-in staff was always busy so there seemed to always very a long wait for purchases or checking in to a site. There were two pools and looked to be a good amount of things to keep the kids busy. There is shuttle service to Virginia Beach and day-passes can be purchased at the campground office. We have also stayed at the Holiday Trav-L-Park across the street and feel that this KOA may hold an edge but that's just our opinion. The ground crew does need to mow a number of the sites, and janitorial staff need to clean/maintain the restrooms more frequently but with the rainy weather and the volume of campers that probably wasn't possible. The campground had a main water line break and had to shut off water to the entire campground. They did go around the campground to notify campers and water service was restored sometime after midnight, so kudos to their efforts in getting service restored. We camped in a 25 ft. motorhome and will likely return but hopefully at a different time of year.
It's hard to beat Virginia Beach for a seaside vacation: warm sunshine, fabulous beaches and boardwalk, entertainment that never quits, and attractions for all ages. Best of all, there’s the Virginia Beach KOA, where we take family-friendly fun to a whole new level! Like the idea of camping but not the work involved in it? We offer luxury Deluxe Cabins (lodges) that rival any of the lodging at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Why stay within the confines of a hotel or motel room when you could have the utmost in comfort and convenience AND the open space and fun activities of the campground? Of course we have first-rate RV and tent sites, with plenty of choices to suit your needs, even for the big rigs. At Virginia Beach KOA, full hook-up sites even include cable TV and wifi internet service! Looking for something in-between? Try a Camping Cabin for a rustic feel but with the convenience of electricity and air conditioning.
