"Lots of Shade"

This military Fam Camp is one of the best we have encountered during our travels. It is located outside the main gate. The office staff are very friendly and easy to work with. Most sites are back-in with just a few pull through sites. Shade everywhere in the campground which creates privacy between sites. Roads are gravel with concrete pads on each site. Full hookups are located at each site with the exception of Wi-Fi. It is not installed yet but is scheduled. The BX and Commissary are located about one and one half miles from the campground inside the main gate. Showers and bathrooms very clean. Daily rate for military is $25.

Great Campground
By user-6272812... on 2017-10-23.
This is great place for military eligible campers visiting the Panama City area. We stayed four nights. Enjoyed it so much bc it's on the water and very close to the sights of Pananma City. Before we left, we made a reservation for the entire month of September. The facilities are very nice and they have several helpful staff members. Loved having our own dump site -- it makes staying long periods much more convenient. They also have nice cabins for rent.

On the bay with lots of shade trees and shrubs on almost every site. Definitely a beautiful place to stay next time we're in the area.

Great place!!!

We came down from Midland, GA to Fam Camp at Tyndall AFB after reading some good reviews about it and we loved the campground. We spent a 4 day weekend there. If you are a military veteran, retiree, active duty or DoD and love camping this is an awesome campground to stay. Its very close to everything... restaurants, stores, shopping and logically Tyndall AFB BX and Commissary.... Full hook up Sites for 50/30 amps are in cement slab with lots of trees for shade. They also have Tent sites and an overflow area with water and electricity by the exit of the Camp. Prices are between 15 to 25 dollars... You will hear some Raptor jets take off every now and then, but what can you expect, after all it is an Air Force military Base so it doesnt bother us at all. Love the Campground and will be back again for sure...

Outstanding staff. Worked with me over phone to get me a last minute place to stay even though nobody was there when I got there. They can fill propane bottles, for a pretty low price comparable to the civilian side. Concrete pads are a little on the small side, trailer stabilizer legs barely fit, back were on very edge of back and front were on very edge of front (30' TT). Hook up was all very nice and well maintained. Rocks all around pad makes it hard to park and move motorcycle. Very nice community room with pool table. Nice washers and dryers but needs coin machine, had to go into town to make change to finish laundry.
