It's a great park. It has a hugh lake you can canoe in or rent a paddle boat or conoe. You can also kayak in the pond and check out the cypress trees. The park has a live band every Saturday night starting at 6:30. There are lots if walking trails and area attractions if you want to head to the beach or so. They have bikes that you can use for free for the day if you can't bring your own. It's only four stars because there is no sewer hook ups but two dump stations on site and not a big camp store but very clean and updated...
We enjoyed this SP. Almost all the sites are very shady, fairly large but not as large as some state/national parks but very adequate. Loops A & B are best for motor homes. We had site B15 with 50/30/20amp and water hookup. Two nice dump stations on the way out and two grey dump areas within the camping area. A large pond, with fishing, kayak, canoe and pedal boat rental. Very nice walking/biking trails. There is a nice playground for kids and a large covered pavilion with picnic table for a group. The electric/water hookups in Loop C are at the front of the sites and Loop D is short pull thrus. There is a boat launch and you can use your own boat, canoe or kayak if you have one. The only real negative is the streets withing the campground area are gravel - therefore they were dusty. I would have given it a four * if the streets were paved or if the sites had a paved site pad. But we would come here again if in the area.
Beautiful park with large level sites. Free loaner bikes. Helpful staff, nice camp store. Canoe & kayak rentals on a beautiful lake with a cypress swamp.
