Great find.
By user-4931291... on 2017-10-23.
Office folks were extremely helpful with maps and routing us around local construction. Chocolates and dog biscuits at check in. We were there at end of season so it was not super busy. (There are a lot of full season campers here) I was happy they spread the overnighters out so we were not all next to each other. Many sites are in the wide open. Shower house was very nice and clean.

Convenient to Arcadia and Bar Harbor. We stayed in the meadow where the sites are very long, level and roomy. The sites used by full timers are very junky. Easy in and easy out. We stayed in our Class A motorcoach with tow.

Nice park and centrally located to Maine's scenic locations
By user-5303687... on 2017-10-23.
First the pros. Reasonable price considering the location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good wireless internet at my campsite. The wifi has password control to prevent abuse such as porn sites and watching online movies that limits bandwidth for other users.
The cons. One toilet house to service a huge park (222 sites).

Nice, (but)
By user-5892247... on 2017-10-23.
As noted in earlier reviews, sites are huge (long), and level; but only one shower house/restroom. Wifi good at our site. Seasonal/permanent sites are in trees and shaded. Other sites are in large open area.

The ladies in the office were super nice and helpful! The spots were so easy to pull through and so spacious and well maintained! Great find and definitely would stay here again!

Stayed 3 days in a pull-through site. Site was not level. Had a good rain event and had a large lake outside our RV door to step into. Only one bathroom/bath house for the entire RV park.

Nice place. Clean level sites mainly pull throughs. A bit far from Acadia, 14 miles if you are driving in often during your stay. Pre memorial savings $36 a night.

Nice, affordable campground near Bar Harbor/Acadia

We spent a month at Timberland Acres RV Park from mid-June to mid-July in a 39 fifth wheel. We stayed in a long pull-through site that was more than long enough for our fifth wheel, tow vehicle and a car. Most of the shaded sites are occupied by seasonal campers but the pull-through sites are in the open and have regular turnover. The staff in the office were very helpful. The campground is a few miles further from Acadia NP and Bar Harbor than some other campgrounds but is much more affordable and has bigger sites. The free shuttle bus into Bar Harbor runs from the Acadia Gateway Center which is four miles south of the campground. We plan to return to this campground.

Not bad in a pinch

Huge park (over 300 spots), with a mix of full-season and overnight. Most of the short-term are gravel pull-through spaces with grass and no shade. Maybe 20-25 feet across. Many are very long (100 ft), and it is a popular place for those with ultra long rigs. Pool was well-maintained and playground was average. Staff was very friendly. They only had a full hookup our night.
