Poor condition

Half the pedestals are out of order, in very poor condition throughout the park, one of the roughestThousand Trails we have been to. Either grass or limited gravel sites, all back in, very few with sewer, it's mostly 30 amp--- good luck

Great Park

Could only stay two nites due to prior commitments, definitely returning, no problem getting full hook-up site, with shade. Park still undergoing repairs from hurricane damage, so a lot of sites unavailable at the moment.
Had fun at the river looking for sharks teeth & watching for the gator! Fun camp events - music nite, craft morning, nice pool & hot tub. Laundry/bathroom facilities nice & clean. Staff all very friendly. Thousand Trails package recommended for any serious campers, easily pays for itself in really nice parks.

Hate to Leave

Just finishing up a three week stay and hate to leave. The Easter events were fantastic for the kids, my wife and I loved hunting for fossils and the pool was good enough.

Inaugural trip in new camper

We went down for Labor Day weekend and had a great time. Took the grandkids and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, nearby nature center. Plenty of shaded fully equipped sites available even though the river was up and part of the grounds flooded. They even had hot dogs and cake for the guests on Saturday over by the pool. Staff was very helpful and friendly and we will be back.

Great place but electric issues

With the exception of electric issues, we enjoyed our stay there. We were there for 2 weeks in March. It has a small but nice pool, lots of other campers to talk to on our daily walks, the staff is awesome, large enough spots with shade. What s not to like, right? Well how about very bad electric. We were in a 5th wheel that required 50 amp service. The electric dropped to 100 volts almost every day for many hours during peak usage times. That s too low to safely run many appliances and forces me to disable my built in EMS power protection system. The EMS drops power when it s lower than 104 to protect your camper. They said to plug into the 30 amp socket but it was just as low. I verified at the breaker box with my Fluke DMM. Please fix this issue!

Florida Thousand Trails campground - TLC needed

This is one of the three regular Thousand Trails (TT) campgrounds in Florida. It is a campground and not a resort (free for full TT members). Okay pool area. Has only two bathhouses (each with two showers, and one is in the pool area only). The lower area has been swamped literally with over flowing river and muddy spots. The only way the lower area can be used is if it was completely paved, as any RV will sink into any spot (but its not paved). This is claimed as the new campground area and is not available, but do think it was planned; so reservations are limited now.
You will be parked in the J area when you arrive, and then draw from a lottery for regular flat Full service spots (prime time winter florida!!). Free honey wagon is available if you stay two weeks in J area.
The community is very rural and limited, though a nice state park is nearby (encourage a yearly park pass to come and go there). The local library will give you a membership card, and you can borrow two DVD per day. The big town (Sebring) is about 45 minutes away east with all the shopping and movie theaters. (not a bad drive).
The camp spots next to the main road are highway noisy, so be prepared for that. Suggest taking the J area, and picking a better spot later.
