Nice place, nice location

This is a newer rv park with full hook up's on each site. It is located in St Charles MO and is within walking distance to the historical down town. The Katy Trail bike/hiking path is literally in the back yard. You can use it to get downtown or the Ameristar Casino. The town is a touristy destination, so there is a lot to do on most given weekends. The rates are relatively high. Also, be aware that there is a railroad and an interstate within earshot, so if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. (It is also in the flight path of Lambert airport)

All about location

Here are the pro's & con's:
1) location, location, location. Right on Kady Trail. Easy on and off 370 highway. Bring your bikes & ride the trail into town.
2) friendly staff
3) concrete sites
4) decent wifi
Con's:
1) small sites. Back in sites are small & don't leave much room. Pull through sites seem to have plenty of room. No room between campers at any of the sites. Tight with no grass.
2) No fire pits.
3) Little pricey compared to others
4) Noisy park (trains, planes & yappy dog in neighbors house by back gate). Not much the park can do on this one, just be aware.
5) can't reserve spots
OVERALL : average campground with a great location.

IT'S...OK.
By user-5795495... on 2017-10-23.
Everyone else's review is pretty much right on. It IS expensive for what you get. It can be noisy with the train running on a bridge and shaking the entire park. The planes coming in and out of Lambert will wake you up and the interstate is near. They used to have a nice steak restaurant there but it was closed last time I stayed. I don't come here anymore because my family moved to the west end. It's clean and well kept. Very level and EZ to get in and out. I only stayed in the pull thrus and they were roomy for me and my toad. Wish they would have a swimming pool at this price. Sadly, RV options in STL area are limited.

Good Stop. Pros & Cons.
By user-5814798... on 2017-10-23.
Convenient to Katy Trail & downtown historic St. Charles. Paved pads but pull-throughs up front are saved for overnighters (so if you reserve a month, you get moved to the back-in spots in the back--mildly annoying since they are rarely full which means a longer walk to the office/laundry/showers). Super fast streaming wifi. Nice laundry facility & clean bathrooms. It's unfortunate there aren't more rv campgrounds in the area. They get away with being a little pricey. Customer service isn't great (front desk during the week isn't very friendly. They don't use computers so every time you check in you have to start all over again!). Metered electric when you get the monthly rate. The office closes early which considering the amount of overnight, transient business seems like a bad idea. The do accept packages so we ship things ahead after making a reservation. The planes didn't bother us as ex pilots, and they seem to stop at night. The trains are pretty regular though. Didn't bother us enough to leave.

Nice park
By user-5900117... on 2017-10-23.
Nice park for short stay. Convenient to historic St.Charles and all the quaint shops. Train nearby but didn't bother us. Nice level spots. Arrived for noon checkin and no one in office. Just finally pulled into space and were allowed to stay in it.

Location: Sundermeier RV park, St. Charles, MO
Note: easiest way to pull in is off 370 so you don't have to mess with navigating through the small city streets.
Cost: $625 for the month back in with full hook ups. Good Sam accepted for over nights.
Dates Stayed: May 1-June 1, 2015
Atmosphere: slight highway noise. Train noise, but no whistles!
Type of spots: level paved pull through and back in spots with 30/50 amp and picnic table
Laundry: Yes
Shower House: Yes and wonderful and clean
# of pools: 0
# of hot tubs: 0
Dog park: located just down the street
Activities: Playground for kids across a rarely used street
Wifi/cable: wifi free and updated 2015 at the camp sites very strong. Cable is free but you must put a $30 deposit down to get the box. You get that back when returned. Antenna signal was strong and got several channels that way.
Exercise room: no, but plenty of hiking trails and the Katy trail is right across the street. I walked down to Main Street every day!

Motorhome stop
By user-6515821... on 2017-10-23.
Well maintained and easy access. All sites are concrete pads, good wifi, and FHU. Good location for visiting St. Charles and St. Louis. I would recommend this RV Park. We stayed here in a 43' motorhome.

Great place a bit noisy
By user-6421126... on 2017-10-23.
This is a great place. St. Charles is a pleasure. A hidden gem in a big city. The park is very clean and big cement pads. A bit noisy with the train and the highway traffic. Overall I recommend

I stayed here my very first night in my new-to-me first RV. I called and asked if they had spots, which they did, and said they would be closed before I got there. They said it would be ok to park anywhere and pay in the AM. Well, what they DIDN'T tell me was there was only one small section with water, or that the bathrooms required a code to access, which they didn't give me either. The seller had only put a few gallons in the rig when he dewinterized so I really needed some. In the morning they would not give me the Good Sam discount since I didn't have a physical card yet, having signed up the day before. Showing the confirmation email didn't cut it. The guy was really short and unhelpful, and acted like I should certainly have KNOWN where to park to have water. Oh, and no discount for the sites without. And asking a few newbie questions got a cold response. I just got the vibe that they really couldn't care less. My friend was flying in to St. Louis that morning and we had considered staying another night to see the city but I just said the heck with it, I'm not paying another $55 to stay here. It was really a somewhat disheartening experience to start out my RVing life.

Ok plain Park
By user-4583391... on 2017-10-23.
The park is your standard "get rich quick" park. Sites are small, park is tight, price is high, minimum wage management, "I don't care" attitude. Try St.Peters, much better.

Very unfriendly office! They would not book us in when they heard we had stayed at another park nearby where there was no extra charge for children. Families beware!

Clean! Pricey! Train!
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
This place rec d 3 stars due to a FULL over night charge we paid for a late check-out in MARCH, $54! (The next place charged us nothing, 3rd place, a KOA, charged $10.) Price was steep for what was available. The close train ran by often! The grounds were clean! It was close enough to St Louis attractions, although small, concrete pads were large & internet was solid.

For an overnight stay it was ok. It was clean, staff were very friendly, but the train & plane noise are irritating. But it was close to my granddaughters and it was ok for one night.

decent park-mostly workers and full timers

Nice park- no shade but close to the Katy Trail. If you walk, can get to shops and restaurants easy on the trail. Mostly full timers- workers and a few visitors passing through. Nice shower facilities-convenient if you want to be in that area. Nice concrete pads no fire pits and lots of pets. Friendly residents staying there too!
