Stayed here overnite. Close sites together on gravel. Shared water hookups. Not here during race days so it was not crowded, but if you stay on race days it would be VERY tight. About 8 ft between campers.

Large park with both gravel and grass sites. Great place to stop and relax overnight or a couple weeks. Lots of country music and bluegrass history in the area. Park is about 1/2 mile from Bristol Motor Speedway. We arrived the week after the big race so park was quiet. New managers are great folks and make sure you are happy with your site. Most sites are 30 AMP but manager want to convert more site to 50A. Unless you know where the park is you may miss it and drive is a little steep in and out when towing car on a dolly. Big rigs seem okay with toad being towed 4 down We will stay here again. We were in 41 foot motorhome with dolly and car.

It is hard to believe that a park can be this bad. The entrance is a hard right off a busy highway only to find yourself on a dangerously steep drop down to the registration office parking lot. Then it is a hard left down an even worse drop off leading to a long drive through many deep potholes to cramped parking slots. The electrical pedestal has no breaker, so it is always hot. Four slots shared one water faucet on a 4-to-1 adapter that divided the pressure. The site gathered rain water into large pools due to poor condition of grounds. A miserable experience.

Très propre, entré pénible pour ceux qui ont des gros équipement. Une entrée d'eau pour 4 terrains. Faible pression d'eau.

| Great no-frills campground near the Speedway

It's our fIrst time in the area and picked Shadrack for it's close location to Bristol and it's PA membership. I have read reviews saying that there was flash flooding last year and seeing the pictures, I was a little concerned. Now that I'm here, I'm completely relaxed. Entrance IS intimidating. The road out front has two lanes each way with a turn lane in the middle and trees block the sign pretty well. When you see the entrance sign, you cannot see that the gravel drive continues down (180 from the road) if you are driving. You have to turn in at a 90 degree angle (that seems like it's about at at 45 degree angle down), straight toward the building, then turn another 90 degrees to be parallel with the building. Once you check in, it's another 90 degree turn down a continuation of the hill to get to the campground. The campground is mostly a flat field with a couple trees and gravel drives. There IS a creek that is running behind it. Apparently the flash flooding last year brought that creek up several feet because that is what would be needed for the park to flood. Despite the fact that it is just off the road, and just down from the speedway, it is relatively quiet here. There are some older run down trailers here and there, but we're parked with several very pricey, brand spankin' new class A's. There are mountains all around the campground here and actually, all around the entire area. You can head either direction on the road to pick up supplies as everything you could ever want is located in either Bristol or Johnson City. Washing machine room is nice and clean. Washers are $2. Dryers are $1.50. Water, electric, sewer and wifi all work well. We have Sprint and have great cell phone service. The fenced in dog area is 25x50. We found a couple doggy daycare sites nearby to allow us to fully explore. Reservations allowed us to use Good Sam AND PA discount for extra savings. Everyone who works here was very friendly.
