| Reserve early for weekend stays in Summer
Reservations are a must for any stay weekends from Memorial day thru Labor day. If the weather is nice, don't chance it and reserve a spot just to be safe. This is a very popular destination for serious fishermen.
| Great Illinois State Park - Muskie Record
Been here with Motorhome. It is always clean. The staff is friendly. The fishing is great! There is a great restaurant. The fish store has live bait, boat rentals and the staff is excellent! Will come here often!
| Beautiful, peaceful, piece of Heaven
Relatively level spots, beautiful views, well maintained roads throughout, campsites are clean, fire pits are sturdy and clean and ready for your fire. Short walk to non flushing privy but you'd be better off going to the actual bathhouse for clean bathrooms and showers. No sewer hookups, which we knew beforehand, but to our surprise, no water hookup either. Electric was a little wonky and we tripped it several times, but we may have overloaded the circuit. Camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again without hesitation.
