I stayed a year ago after purchasing my first air stream bambi trailer at north river rv. I had never driven an rv was driving a much bigger car / tow vehicle. I had no idea that backing up was a problem skill you needed to master. I arrived late as the rv store took so long to set up my hitch. In the dark arriving with reservation saved but office closed. I attempted to back up in the dark within 10 min someone on staff but off duty offered to park it for me and then hooked me up sewer and all. Staff and residents were exceptionally kind and generous to me. Offering advice assistance and encouragement that was desperately needed before I started driving home the 1300 miles alone to Boston. I've never forgotten Victor who assisted me and the woman at the front desk who told me to just call her or go see her in her rv anytime if I needed assistance. Thinking of all of you in this crisis with hurricane Irma please let me know if you need anything I can send or even drive down to you. In support and gratitude Deb Peck PS you taught me to ask for a pull thru site which was crucial as I could only drive forward for the entire trip home
Lots of trees, probably all the sites enjoy great shade. Very clean and well maintained facilities. Friendly campers and crew. Pet and children friendly and still very quiet. We will definitely return for more, as we only spent one night.
We stayed for two days during summer. It must be a great place for winter residents.
