This will be our third year to camp at Road Runner mid August for the music festival and chili cook off. We love this campground even though the price is a bit higher than average.clean and well managed. If you book in advance you can usually pick your spot. The staff is very accommodating even during a very busy time frame during this festival. We like the fact also that it is gated. The upper level of the park backs up to the national Forest. We like staying along the creek. Restroom and showers are very clean. There is no laundry on the grounds. However there is a laundromat just outside the gate, which is walking distance if you choose. All sites arelevel.

Do not opt to stay only 1 day. Not pleased!
By user-5865289... on 2017-10-23.
The park was clean, with very friendly people working. Very pet friendly (as long as you clean up after your pup)
However, very pricey at $50 ( with taxes ) per night for a 30 amp hook up, more for 50 amp. We only stayed 1 night as we were trying multiple areas to see where we preferred and if you stay only 1 night they do not let you choose your spot.
The spot/area they put you in is basically a parking lot with electricity and water.
Gated entrance and bathhouse is an extra $10 each to get a keycard which is refunded when you turn the key cards back in however they do not tell you this before paying for your stay.
I am not pleased with this park :(

I forgot to add a comment about the Wi-Fi. It is not parks fault that they don't have good Wi-Fi and reception. It has to do with being able to get the fiber to this area.if you need some fast access to your cell or your iPad or laptop, take the short drive into town. I'm personally not that addicted to my electronics when I'm traveling

Very polite, but summer only
By user-5337783... on 2017-10-23.
We were in Red River in February for Mardi Gras in the Mountains. Looking for an RV campground, we drove in to Roadrunner. Great views in every direction, but the owner who was outside walked up to politely tell us he was not open.
So it's back to Taos Valley RV Park tonight, but next summer we'll be back.

Excellent Stay!
By user-6219629... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed three nights here in June, site 68, just feet from the river. Plenty of room to maneuver our 40' rig and toad. Power was perfect, and we enjoyed the 24 channels of cable television. Even the wifi worked well when we were outside, which seems to be a rarity at most parks.
Park is clean, quiet, and very secure-- a key card is required to access it. I had to repeat my info a few times when making the reservation, and when I checked out they had me down to stay another night, but they were apologetic and gladly admitted that it was their mistake and made it right.
Activities in Red River were still pretty slow this early in the summer, but our kids enjoyed building and racing boats at the community house.

Nice Park, But ..
By user-5892247... on 2017-10-23.
As others have noted this is a nice park, with clean facilities, and friendly and helpful staff. But during our 4 day, the wifi was down the entire time; their cable TV was one of the worst we have seen - snowy picture to extent you could barely watch. We camped in 35 ft motorhome. We would stay here again.

Great RV Park

We stayed her during the week in early Sept. One of the best campgrounds we have encountered. The staff is awesome. There are camp host scattered throughout the park to assist if you need anything. There is an adult section only. Although we don't have children we opted to stay in the family section because we wanted a fire pit. (Not all sites have them so you have to request a site that does if you want one). We were right on the river. The park is quiet and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Gem of a park!
By user-5766129... on 2017-10-23.
We enjoyed our time here! Beautiful area and lots to do. Our site was on the river and had great views but it was between 2 sites and right by neighbors sewer hookup. Next time we stay in the adult only loop! Love the gated entry and the basketball and tennis courts are bonus! Only negative was the laundry was outside the gate, expensive and closes at 8pm. We will definitely be back!

Nice park. We made a last minute reservation for a one night stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Staff very friendly. Our site backed up to the mobile home section, so I would have preferred a better view, but it was okay for one night.

Absolutely Live This Place!!!
By user-6755372... on 2019-08-09.
This is one of the nicest campgrounds in the Taos area. Red River is about 35 miles north of Taos, but the drive is worth it. Great scenery, the river runs through the campground. Convenient to the area. Will definitely be back
