Horrible
By user-5853674... on 2018-06-27.
Dirt, Dirt, and more Dirt. When I think of KOA I think of nice paved sites with green grass and trees. Not here!!! Horrible industrial location and Dirt sites with No trees. Worse though is that it has the dreaded side by side sites so you open your RV door right onto your neighbors RV door. NO Privacy. All this for the outrageous KOA price.

Simple but efficient
By user-5777302... on 2018-06-27.
Wanted 30 amp as it was very hot and this KOA was available at 5pm in late July. Most spaces filled that evening. I80 road noise was torrarable. Quiet evening in 35ft with 20ft tow. Expensive at $42.

Ok for an overnight but mainly just a gravel lot. Not very well maintained for a KOA. The cable was broken and the trash bin was an overloaded trailer. The scenery was oil tanks. I expect a nicer park for this price.

Good overnight

There is not much around but this park is a good overnight stop. All gravel but the spaces are level, the utilities are fine and the place is clean.

Ok stop
By user-5830075... on 2018-06-27.
We were given cookies at check in and kids enjoyed the pool. Other than that it was ok and good for a one night stopover. Not a lot to see or do. Pool was good.

Way to expensive...
By user-5851057... on 2018-06-27.
Stayed here last year . This year they want to charge $47.50 + tax, a nice hotel room in town. Is $52. Go down the road to The Travel Camp for the over night.
KOA'S are to expensive, this one especially.

Nice KOA
By user-6186978... on 2018-06-27.
Quite pleased with this KOA. Mixed reviews made me worry, but was a welcomed break for our young family. Nothing fancy at the sites, but everything worked and was level enough. Plenty accessible for rigs of all sizes. Clean hot showers, lovely coin-op laundry center. Nice warm pool, great playground and fenced in grassy + dog play area. Convenient location, clean, very pleasant staff. Improvements are currently being made. Will stay again if needed.

Nice Stop Over

This KOA is like a gravel parking lot, but the sites are roomy and level. The young man that escorted us to our site was very friendly and even offered to help hook us up. After a long drive from Loveland,CO, we were ready to pull in and relax. We travel with our dogs and they were happy to be off the leash in the fenced pet area. Easy to find, right off of I-80. Would stay here again. $48.00 for pull through and full hook-up.

Rock Springs KOA
By user-5855127... on 2018-06-27.
Hard to find at night especially since it isn't well signed and on a frontage road. Decent gravel spots but real dusty. Better than any other that I could find. Have stayed here twice overnight.

Not much
By user-5617168... on 2018-06-27.
Gravel lot - NO grass for dogs - that was disappointing for my co pilot
Overpriced compared to similar CG's
Large lot allows for 70' or better
One night in a RV with trailer

Stayed 1 night
By user-6711432... on 2018-06-27.
Not too bad. From the looks of the camp seems to be a stopping point for many. Was lucky to get a spot. The view of the petroluem plant was not pleasant. Other RV's are very close to you. Entire place is gravel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again for a overnight.

Okay For a Night or Two
By user-5821915... on 2018-06-27.
Nice folks, but it's basically a large gravel lot. We stayed in a MH and did not use the other facilities.

Very nice for a one night stay.

Friendly, competent staff, free cookies, nearly level site. Remember this is the Red Desert, rocks and soil are all there is. Trees planted, nice grassy dog run, very nice, clean restrooms. Quiet at night. Long term residents all located at the back of the campground, separate from transients.

Good overnighter
By user-5298028... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-06-08 to 2019-06-09
Very decent place for an overnight stay. Gravel/dirt sites, but decently sized. Picnic tables, some premium sites have slabs and privacy fences. Great dog run! It has nice lush grass, and good size. Very easy and fast check in, friendly staff. The three stars are only because the area is pretty bleak. VERY windy and cold too! Not a place I would come and stay, but more than fine for the night

No surprise for Westerners
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
This is So WY where the wind ALWAYS blows. It actually covers the noise from I-80 and the trains. We like this KOA for an overnight. If you are expecting a destination resort, try the Gulf Coast. This is a desert the geology is great.

Miserable
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-07-16 to 2019-07-17
The only reason this review gets 2 stars is because of the wonderful, helpful, friendly staff. Otherwise, truly miserable. Sites jammed together. Not nearly enough room for both RVs and their trucks. Void of any meaningful vegetation. Boring as can be.
