Sites level good for big rigs. Pool not big but nice, salt water. Great value at 25.00 per night for 32 ft motor home. Internet is really bad and no cable. Bathrooms clean and neat.

We stayed for just one night while traveling thru. We were concerned about location from interstate but was very nice, clean and quiet. Gravel parking was pretty level and alot of green space between sites. Will stay again when in area.

Owners go out of way to make you comfy. Roads and pads gravel but level. A perfect place to stay if visiting Vicksburg. A gigantic Super Wal-Mart is just a few miles away. Would stay here again in a heart beat for any visit to the area. Only about 10 miles from the Vicksburg Nat. Memorial Cemetary.

This was a nice and quiet stop along the way. The spaces were wide and the park very clean. However, I'll have to disagree with a couple of earlier comments. First, the park doesn't have cable TV... or at least not on my space and not mentioned in the "amenities" on their web page. Second, the spaces are not level. My front wheels were off the ground and as walked around the park, it looked like most were as well. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay here.

I'd like to advise people to be careful when you stay at Rivertown Campground in Vicksburg Mississippi. They have treated us wrong. The cities main water line broke and can't be fixed for 5 to 7 days because the break is under the Mississippi River. I have 3 children and the rv park refused to give us a refund for our unused days. They said they would give us a rain check. But my husband talked to the owner on the phone who called my husband names I won't mention and he eventually said he would refund our money. Well my husband's co-worker asked for a refund also. And since he asked for one also the owner refused to refund our money after saying he would. I wouldn't take the rain check because I will not return to that park. I was never handed any rules for the park upon arrival and the manager of the park never came to our door to tell us about the water break. They tried to give the rules to me after they refused to give me a refund. I understand it's not their fault but they have no way to supply us with water for a week nor do they care I have an infant and two other children. So please do not waste your time with this park. In an emergency situation you should refund people their money for unused days so they can go else where. This is also violation of health codes. This park will get all kinds of disaster relief funds from the city because of the cities water being out. But they couldn't refund me my money to bring my family to a place that has water. Do not waste your time with rude people who careless about your needs when you are paying them to provide a service.

Good campground. The sites are stone and pretty level. I do like that the campground is situated on a hill and will not flood like so many others we've stayed in. The campground is well maintained and the grass is cut and a beautiful green. All sites have very nice picnic tables. I really appreciate the effort the folks have put into campground. No issues with power, water, sewer, or WIFI. Pretty nice place... I'd gladly stay here again.

Well cared for and very nice campground. Good wifi. No complaints but if it had a fenced dog run it would be phenomenal.

It was a over night stay for us. Sites are level. Our RV and Truck is 70 feet long and we had no problem fitting on a site. They are really Big Rig Friendly. No cable; Antenna TV just OK, Restrooms Very Clean. We will stay here again when we are passing thru. The managers live on site and are Very Friendly and helpful.

Very well kept park. There were plenty of spots to choose from when we visited. It was obvious that some units have been there long term either for work or otherwise. That said, all units were in good shape and none of them had a permeant deck/patio. It is not the closest park to the Vicksburg area, but because it was not as close it seemed to be much quieter. Amenities include pool (did not use) and wi-fi. I deducted one star for the following reasons: 1) Poor cell phone service. We have AT&T and had little to no reception at this park. Wi-fi was pretty good, but there are some things I do not trust to a public wi-fi. 2) Lack of shade trees. It is the summer in MS. It was hot and the lack of shade made things a bit warm. 3) Reservations were taken by phone which left me a little nervous, but I called a day ahead to verify again and all was good. Still in this day in age there should be an online registration process. That said, I didn't pay until the day I arrived. We paid approx. $50 for two nights. They do honor a variety of discounts including Good Sam's. I forgot to tell them I am a Good Sam member. I would stay here again.

Nice, neat, clean. Fair Wifi, slow at times but least it works which is better than most RV parks. If Wifi is important to you ask for a spot near a WiFi access spot. Sites are large, flat, grassy. Picnic table at each spot. No trees. New gravel on roads and sites. Propane available. Bathrooms are not luxurious, but clean. Hosts are nice and helpful. Close enough to Vicksburg for tourist stuff. Get a spot further away from the main highway. Recommend this site.

Nice long and wide pull through sites. Plenty of green grass surrounding level gravel sites. We planned to stay one night, but added another to give us more time at the Battlefield. We had to have a new water pump put in the truck (great Dodge dealer) so Joanne gave us an extra hour to head out. Laundry room was clean and very reasonable. We would definitely stay here again. Great WiFi.

After looking at many of the other places in the area we decided to go off path and we were pleasantly surprised. We are 38 ft towing 20 so that's around 60 ft with tongue. Large turns and they have a spot just for us large rigs. Clean park and nice folks. Wal-Mart is about two miles away. Bathrooms were clean.. and Wi-Fi was great.

Joanne in the office took our call and was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Arrived after hours, which was no problem with them. Left all info for our designated site at the front door along with our receipt. Was informed they accept cash and check. Nice low price with Good Sam Membership. Very clean and well kept property. Bathrooms were clean. Nice long pull through sites. Gravel and level. A lot of grassy space between sites with a picnic table. Low lighting at all electric boxes. Satellite friendly. Will definitely stay again!

I agree with the above. Gravel pads, may need some leveling. Lots of grass and good spacing. Nice pool,no hot tub. Lots of trees but aren't tall yet.

We were traveling to Fort Wildernes, Disney at Orlando and made our first stop at River Town. Bathrooms clean and an easy campground to dive in. Nice level pull through sites. We were late, but our reservation was by the office door, and we paid in the morning. Would stop again.

My wife and I knew nothing about the area campgrounds since we are from an area 12-plus hours away. Stay here! You may be shocked at the prices and condition of some area campgrounds, but this site is clean, quiet spacious, reasonably priced and almost all are pull-through sites. We will definately stay here again if ever passing through. ♡♡♡

The sites are well spaced with well groomed grass between gravel. The only negative is the placement of the hook ups at the far end of the pull through. We dumped holding tanks and filled the fresh water before pulling all the way in and our power cord was just long enough. Not a problem for an overnight.

Plenty of room between sites. Grass cut & well kept. Hook ups are at the end of the sites so it makes it a little difficult if you are towing a vehicle. We have a truck camper so there was no problem what so ever. The owners are very easy to talk to. It is worth driving the extra miles from I-20 to stay here!

Park isn't half what they think it is. Overpriced! 10yr rule don't go in a used Rv from the 90s. We stayed half a day felt very unwelcome. Hosts or owners?, Look like slobs with an attitude. Several better cheaper places to stay nearby.

Chose this park from a Good Sam listing. Seemed kind of unstructured during reservation process but its a nice park with big grassy spaces. Pleasant office staff. As noted, utility hookups are at far back end of the site but 20 ft hoses worked (barely). Quirky to turn in if southbound due to divided Hwy 61 so a u-turn or a trip through the neighborhood to the south is needed.

The sites are well spaced with well groomed grass between gravel, pleasant hosts, great value. Did not try internet- have our own truck WiFi. Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed here 2 nights. Office staff very pleasant. We had a hard time leveling our motorhome, trying 3 different sites. I. The office it clearly states no cable. The internet and the cell phone reception for AT&T were poor at best. Rate was $28 a night. Many full timers here, all had well kept sites.

Nice, widely spaced sites. A few trees interspersed among the campsites. Long pull-throughs for overnighters. Hookups are way at the end of the site. Gravel surfaces. Close to Vicksburg. Would stay again.

This worked very well for us. We needed an overnight spot a good days drive from DFW, and this worked. Very easy in/out, level spot, lots of green space to walk the pup. The elec/water are at the rear of the site, so I needed two water hoses, but not a big deal. We ll use this park again on East bound trips.
