This place is still cleaning up from the tornado that destroyed it in December, 2015. They have some of the sites open but the ground is still littered with glass and pieces of people's lives. There was still a walker lying on its side and many pieces of clothing and dishes. The skeletons of the burned out units were up on the hill. The transformer that fell on several units and caused them to burn was re-erected in the same place. There is no office and you check yourself in at a kiosk and then find your own spot. When it rains, the entire place turns into a giant mud hole with no way to access your rig except through water and mud. The plantation style house that is on their website is not a part of the park and you are not allowed anywhere close to it. There are signs warning you not to even walk on the road along side the house. I would not stay here again.

Full hookups, gravel pad, pretty level. Roads are gravel, probably dusty in the dry Summer. Folks were helpful, but be aware no one at entrance, all business conducted over the phone. So, have a reservation when you drive up. Pretty plain park, units are pretty close together. There is no picnic table or gravel picnic area. Drive through spots are long. Pricey for what you get, $35/night. Laundry facility on site. 1/3 permanent residents, 1/3 winter Texans and 1/3 transients. Park is far from the main highways, down fairly winding road. Not ideal, but I would stay here again, if I had to visit the area, since there is not much else in the area.

This is an excellent option for 1 night stay, however no bathhouse so you must be self sufficient. I loved going through large neighborhood to get here, then a real plantation at the front. Wowza!!!
