Awesome

One of the nicest state parks in Arkansas. Clean , quite a lot to do there. Trails are beautiful if hiking is your thing.

Awesome place
By user-5771503... on 2017-10-23.
Beautiful park. Loop A is newer with 50 amp FHU. Other 3 loops have 30 amp W/E and site quality varies. We had 44 in loop B and it is excellent. Verizon works well. Several tv channels with antenna. Hiway 154 is much steeper with tight switchbacks than southwest entrance to park Hiway 155. The extra miles involved in using 155 is worth it.

Awesome spot for exploring!

The sites are huge and spaced out so far you won't believe. Nice lake for fishing and many trails for hiking to spots like the bear cave, cedar falls overlook, cedar falls bottom, turtle rock formation, huge cave with Indian drawings, paved bicycle paths, Mather Lodge, water tower, etc. there is a large pool with diving board, tennis courts, baseball field, etc. What can I say? This is an awesome place to experience.

Best. Park. Ever

This park is great. Beautiful, chocked full of amenities (hiking, fishing, swimming). Campgrounds were clean and well maintained. This is my favorite place.

Best State Park Anywhere!
By user-5889191... on 2017-10-23.
This is one of the most wonderful places you'll ever find. The campground with full hookups is very popular, so make reservations! Besides the lakeside sites being big, level, and spaced nicely apart from each other, nearby is a breathtakingly beautiful lodge with a restaurant, large swimming pool, a waterfall, cave, and many great hiking trails - all part of the state park. You'll never regret visiting Petit Jean State Park. Take groceries & supplies - it's 18 miles to the nearest town for groceries, gas, etc.
There's a little store near the entrance to the park, but it's very limited and pricey!
The whole park is clean, well-maintained and a place you'll want to stay awhile.
Oh, and there's a boathouse where you can rent a pedal boat, and a playground & pavilions.

First time camping in 25 years and what a great place to start.
Friendly campers. Check in was easy and a cute little store for finding a little something for the Grands.
Pretty like and great hiking. Never made it to the top where the restaurant was my friend was chomping at the bit to travel on. I would recommend a stay here.

Beautiful park and hiking. The main loop mostly books a year in advance. But other sites are nice as well. Overall it’s great!

On top of a mountain. Coming from the east is definitely easier than drive coming from the west. Loop A has sewer but we stayed in loop b with 30amp and water. Nicely shaded, lots of space in between sites, easy to back into sites. We stayed in 57 with 36ft 5thwheel which had loads of roam, fairly level and space for driverside slide. Bathhouse was old, 2 showers, no dressing rooms. Lots of hiking, public pool $4/person. Playground but needed to drive to it. Lake but no swimming in it. Good Verizon signal

Loved it!
By user-4816638... on 2019-08-09.
We stayed at Petit Jean four nights in June 2018 and loved it! Full hookups, large spacious sites, several pull thru. Bring your hiking shoes, I love the many trails!! We plan to return.

Beautiful Park

Stayed 2018-11-02 to 2018-11-06
We spent 4 nights here 2-6 Nov 18. We had a great time visiting the overlooks, trails, and auto museum. Campground A has premium sites, but we ended up in the overflow area. Several storms came through that soaked the tent campers. We loved the area and will come back. Park staff were very nice. NOTE: No laundry facilities.

We stayed one night. We arrived in the dark so it was very difficult to see the signs but our campsite was beautiful and quiet. The location is great we were able to get some over the air TV and the restrooms were very nice. The scenery and the views from this park are outstanding
