Nice park with great staff. Plenty on site for kids to do. Close enough to head into Austin or San Antonio.

Not sure if this was a bad time but the park was in bad condition. Didn't like at all.

Nice, clean, well run, site with tall pecan trees for shade. Near the river with access and rental kayaks, canoes, and tubes. Indoor salt water pool and hot tub. Friendly, efficient staff. Will definitely return!!

The Floods damage the grounds lots of repair. Friendly fun and lots of families. Prices go up in the summer time.

Concerned traveler

Once again Woodalls missed it. We try to judge our stops by this rating. Sites are small and pecans constantly falling on rig. This seems to be a flood area and maybe not completely recovered. Will not return.

Friendly Campground

We were recreating our 2011 trip to Florida from California. Some campgrounds were kicked off this list of return destinations. Pecan Park was a park we couldn't wait to return to for the customer service, nice shaded parking spot, pool, and River access. A few weeks before our arrival, the Blonco River crested, sending water straight for the campground. The campground was devastated. 23 rigs were lost.... But, thankfully, all lives were spared. Along with rigs being destroyed, the flood took the River entrance and swept it away. Although we wanted to drop our tubes in the River right from our camp site, we knew mother mature had changed that plan. We decided to continue with our plans to stay at Pecan. We were happy we did! The hospitality that the workers showed was definitely worthy of a true Texas welcome! We had trouble with our site's electricity. After a major flood, that was not a surprise. The guys came right over and found out it was NOT the site. It was our trailer's plug. They helped us put a new end on. They even thanked us for being so nice. Ha! They were the ones to be thanked!
Oh, and we were still able to tube down the road at The Lion's Club non-profit tubing. They were the nicest people as well!!!
We HIGHLY recommend Pecan Park and Campground!!!

This is a pretty campground next to the Blanco River. The sites are small but adequate. The prices are $45, $50 and $55 for one night on the weekend. Internet didn't work at night but I was able to log in in the morning. It's convenient to Texas State University.

Nice tree covered shady spots, hillside theatre where they show movies at night for the kids. Its close to the river. They have a leash law for dogs, however there were several running off leash. Overall had a nice time there.

Non-Disparagement Agreement
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
I have not stayed at Pecan Park; but I had planned to stay for a week in May. While making reservations I discovered that all campers have to agree to a Non-Disparagement Agreement. Basically, you can't leave a less than positive review or Pecan Park can sue you. That concerns me and I opted to move on down the road.

Beautiful campground
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
We love Pecan Park Campground, we have a 40 foot Motorhome and no problem they have pull through or back in, the park is clean and very well maintained, the staff is friendly and very helpful it s right on the San Marcos River fun for playing or fishing the pool in inside and heated, close to the outlets, restaurants or Walmart nicely shaded we stayed here in March 2019. I highly recommend this park.
