This is an awesome area with great walking trails and is pet freindly. During rainy season can be quite wet.

Superb campground

Host's are great. Showers hot and wonderful after long day of travelling. Campground mostly quiet after generators power off. Will stay again next winter.

One of the nicest campgrounds I’ve been to in a while. Well maintained and inexpensive. If you have a National park interagency pass you can get 50% primitive site(water only) and 25% electric and water sites. Sites are large with plenty of room between each camper. No reservations, First come, first serve basis (30 day limit). so come early if you want one of the 19 electric and water sites. We got there around 11 and they were full. We were just about to head to primitive when a guy was coming out. Stayed frull like that for 4 days straight! Boat ramp is easy to access. Bath house and public restrooms were super clean. Washer and dryer on site $ 1.75. credit card only which was nice to not have to hassle with quarters.

Stopped here for a night and was surprised at how nice it was. Huge sites with trees in-between each site. Very clean. Had a small Beach and boat ramp.

Once you follow clear road signs the confusion clears. Beautiful site.
Roomy sites, but look out for alligators!

We pulled in during the Federal shut down not knowing what to expect. We were greeted by Cheryl, a very awesome campground host, and received great information about the sites available with her warm welcome. We didn't need electrical hookups so we picked site 47 in the water area because it was pretty far away from the other already filled sites and because with all the recent and predicted rain we didn't want to walk through puddles to the rig. Overnight was silent, the area very dark. We loved it!
