Nice Park

This is one of the few parks I would give 5 stars despite having no "extras". This park is separate from the Fairgrounds but connected with it. It's open, flat and some sites are so long you could park 3-4 RV's end to end. This was just an over night stop for us and it made for a very easy in and out. This is mostly dirt so it was somewhat muddy after the recent rains but it was drying up nicely by the time we left this afternoon. We pulled in without reservations, pulled up to the office and were on our way to the site in just a few minutes. The first site was too close to the trees for satellite TV so they moved us without blinking an eye. It was our own fault for not asking about satellite when we arrived.
Very nice and very well run. We will absolutely use this again if we need to stay in the area again.

Lake Tahoe and lots of great hiking, boating, swimming nearby.

We had a gravel/grass site that was fairly level and out in the open. There is a pond their and tall pines all around. They don’t have any recycling, and no laundry facilities and the sites are a bit close together too. But it’s in a beautiful area with shopping nearby. Plus Lake Tahoe and lots of great hiking, boating, swimming nearby.

This is not a good site
By user-5822839... on 2017-10-23.
Several of the sites dont have pavement.
We got a site where our RV is tipping.
The bathrooms are clean, but very rustik. You can't regulate the heat.

Nice place

We love it here. Very clean. The office people were very nice and accommodating. The fairgrounds are there and had a craft fair and a Llama show going on. It's very comfortable and peaceful. We'll go back for sure.

July 4th week
By user-5140352... on 2017-10-23.
The sites are nearly level and wide enough to have some maneuvering room for setup. Full hookups made the week long stay very comfortable. We were able to watch the fireworks from the campground. The men's shower could use some maintenance but all else was very good. Management was friendly and watchful. We'll be back for another stay.

Beautiful location
By user-4529591... on 2018-05-17.
This is a beautiful location to stop. Lots of trees around the perimeter but the interior area is still very sunny. There is a lot of park like area for walking dogs within the grounds and they also open up the fairgrounds during the week for walking as well. Sites are gravel but level. Even with lots of rain, there is little standing water and the ground is packed and not muddy. Host and staff are super awesome!

Rural Camping Just Outside Town

This is a great gem in the foothills, in the midst of the Gold Country. You can dry-camp deep in amongst the towering pine trees, or you can FHU in a well layed out RV park. And there are simple but nice toilets and showers available to campers too. The on-site hosts are nice, the fairgrounds personnel are great.
And you can cruise to downtown, 5 minutes away, for shopping, browsing, vittles, libations.
