Beautiful, trees everywhere, nice location. I camped right on the river, but ther are spots up in the deeper forest. There is an hourly coal train, across the river, but it didn't disturb my slumber. Clean bathrooms and showers. Top notch campground for $11 with electric! No water on the spot, but close by and easy to access. I will be back.
This is a very nice campground in the national forest, excellent for ohv right from campsite to trails. Check out the fire tower, awesome views. Downside is coal trains and lots of them, multiple crossing so lots of horn usage.
We were in site 10 in the Cedar Loop, we have a 27' 5th wheel. I cannot imagine a larger RV fitting into the camp grounds. We were glad the toliets were very close, but we did not expect outhouses. Only electric with the Federal card discount for 6 nights was $47...you get what you pay for...don't expect too much. There is a building with 4 bathroom/shower rooms. They just weren't very clean. If you have animals traveling with you, be prepared with defenses against ticks. We had spray, collars and topical and still took at least 3 ticks off our dog on every walk. The forest is beautiful and we love the concept.
