Nice old State Park
By user-5740707... on 2017-10-23.
This is a well maintained state park campground. Bath house is old, but clean, well lit and doesn't smell even in early August.
The camp spots are nice paved spots but call ahead if you are in a larger RV or travel trailer. The trees make it difficult to back into some spaces.
Good water pressure, and good clean power.
I would recommend and would return.

Very nice campground
By user-5810898... on 2017-10-23.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The campground is next to the golf course. They do have full hookup sites. They only negative is that the sites are laid out poorly for an RV.

Nice but...

Pleasant and shady. Very woods like. May need extra electrical cord to plug in. Sites not very level. High entertainment value in watching large trailers or motorhomes trying to back into tight spots with large trees. Great dog park nearby for small fee. Showers old but clean.

Quiet in October.
By user-5833339... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed 5 nights (Sun-Fri) on campsite 12, water, 30amp, sewer. Needed 35 feet for water hook up and about the same for electric. There are a few level sites, but many require quite a bit of leveling. Lots of trees can make maneuvering onto the paved pads tricky, especially for bigger rigs. Less than half full the entire week with many overnights. Only noted about 3 long-term "residents". Excellent location for base-camping. Old Bardstown has some nice shops, good restaurants, and a rich history. There are 2 distilleries within 2 miles of the campground. Heaven Hill (Bourbon Trail) is almost within walking distance and drive another 2 minutes to get to the Willett craft distillery. The Stephen Foster Museum is a must. Make sure you eat at the Talbott Tavern and Mammy's Kitchen. About 5 miles away, is the "new" section of town with modern chain stores, a Kroger grocery, as well as the familiar Wal-Mart. The campground was quiet, but the greens keepers on the adjoining golf course do start powering up at, or slightly before sun-up. We spotted several deer wandering through the campsite. It wad October, so there was no activity on the playground. There do seem to be done very nice walk-in tent sites with tables and trash bins. The bath house is old, but well-kept. We will definitely stay again.

Bring The Extra Power Cord!

Nice conveniently located campground. Sites share the power and water hookups and are spaced well apart so for most (not all) sites you will need more than a standard 25 . Good Verizon coverage and adequate over the air TV. Probably forget about satellite as the tree cover is very good. Can be difficult to find the staff the next morning if you come in after hours. They are nice enough, just hard to find or contact.

Sites are not level. Bring lots of dunnage. Sites are narrow with trees close by. 30 amp only. We popped the breaker many times

Quiet

A nice stop through on the Bourbon Trail. Beautiful park but slightly tight for a 37' class A. The bathrooms/showers were locked and the water was shut off due to a busted pipe. There are only 30 amp hook ups which are very old and worn out. When I plugged my cord in the outlet did some snap crackle and popping. There were no attendants when we arrived or departed, possibly from the government shutdown.

Nice campground. Agree with other reviewers, tight spaces, slanted slabs. We stayed during off season so many sites to choose from. Fortunately we were able to pick an easy site with our 30 ft TT. Very few sites with sewer hookup. On site dump though. Water turned off due to cold season so no water hookup. Questionable electrical, heard some crackles so we just used the other socket for the other site. No issues in doing so. Dog friendly. We are full timers and didn t need much so this worked for the two nights we were seeking.

My Old Kentucky Home Campground - Bardstown, KY
By user-5895962... on 2019-08-09.
Very nice quiet campground with lots of trees surrounding the area; golf course next door. Plenty space between sites that are asphalt; the sites are just water and power; dumpsite on the premises. Very close to the Heaven Hill Distillery!!! Would stay here again!!
