Very crowded campground with tons of boats and just parked on the side of the road! $32/night no service? $5 sani dump and only coins accepted? I was filling up freshwater and was told to move over even though the road is pretty wide, why dont you tell that to the vehicles with boat trailers that were parked on the side of the road for hours! It only took 5mins tops to fill up my fresh water tank! Oh and dont forget the partiers and the train pass by every half an hour!
This is a popular site that will fill up early on summer weekends. It is all dry camping, with a sani-station. Running water and flush toilets in the washrooms. Train noise is not a concern. The beach and Lake are great. It usually gets a strong south wind in the afternoon. Campsites are heavily shaded. Many are doubles, and extended families /friends can camp together. There is a bit of a swampy area close to the lake - try to avoid this end as the mosquitoes are more prevalent here.
Stayed there for 4 nights in may. Lake water was high so a few sites were closed but overall a good place. Bit pricey tho for $33 CA altho they do have free showers with more under construction
