McDowell Nature Preserve

Very nice park. Lots of hiking trails to fill the day. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were being renovated while we were there. RV sites are spacious and easy pull through. Most are sloped a little, but we had no problem leveling. The only drawback was that we could hear the traffic on hwy 49 quite a bit.

Not suitable for anything over 28 feet. only 13 sites for RV. stay away from site 13...substantial leveling equipment required. Quiet, clean park. Restrooms not clean. Shower in own facility.

This is our second time rv camping here. Yes you may need to work a bit to level your RV but the sites are spacious with plenty of green space between neighbors. The bathhouse facilities were clean and well maintained. Close to all that Charlotte has to offer.
