Well run business!

This is a large (550 RV spaces) park not counting cabins and tent sites. They managed their volume (July 4th week) with appropriate number of staff. The check-in was very efficient. The driveway was well managed even with the increased traffic on the weekend. Sites were level with good spacing. Even with the large crowd, we did not feel crowded. They earned the four-stars through sound management. The cost to stay was higher than advertised due to the holiday week. Nice beach with lots of grass and shade. Great views of Mackinac Island, bridge, and fireworks. All in all, a good stay and would stay here again.

Stay here every year
By user-5833114... on 2017-10-23.
We love this campground and stay no where else when in Mackinaw. My only complaint is the sites could have the grass groomed a little better. They've put in new fire rings which are much better than the portable ones provided in the past. We really like camping here.

Dusty place

Nice wooded place but not many big rig sites. No internet at sites. Some spots are tight. No big rig sites near the water.

Don't understand high ratings
By user-5306750... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2016-09-05 to 2016-09-09
Came here based on the high ratings campground got. It may be fine for a small trailer or a tent, but otherwise this place is grossly over-rated. Sites are extremely tight almost to the point where you can reach over and get your coffee out of your neighbors window! Gravel/dirt roads and sites. Not big rig friendly at all. Very limited on 50 amp sites. Virtually no pull throughs. Lots of trees. Many will like that unless you are trying to use your satellite dish. Area near lake has got to be the tightest, closest sites I have ever seen.
Seems to be a common trait in campgrounds up here. Visited several others, all the same. Jam 'em, cram 'em, and collect their cash. Disappointing. Will not be back.

Good park.
By user-5601438... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed for a week for our family vacation in our 27' camper. Extra large site, full hookup. Not a bad park. It was definitely worth getting a large site because some of the regular sites are extremely small! Especially the lake view sites. Very close to your neighbor. State park sites are bigger. We had poor timing because the midgies (little nonbiting insects that fly like mosquitoes) hatched and were so bad we never ate outside. They got better as the week went by but that isn't the parks fault. Beautiful wooded open public areas by the water we're very nice for playing. Bummer I couldn't have my dog in there because I would have spent more time there instead of at the campsite. Kids liked the pool and the facilities were newer and very clean. My only real complaint is the awful sewer smell by the pool. Fun playgrounds, lots to do. Never went to the beach. Lots of biking, walking, swimming, and the view of the lake and bridge is pure michigan! Park was accommodating as we brought our classic car for the st ignace car show and they waived the extra parking fee. WiFi was tricky to get hooked up but access speeds not bad. Overall, I would recommend it.

Super Campground
By user-6261094... on 2017-10-23.
Price: $27 Full hook-up
Pros:
Large nicely wooded park with lake views. Many good size back in spaces. 30 & 50 amp sites. Close to downtown about 5 minutes away.
Cons:
Only 1 day of free wi-fi per day. Therefore, if you have more than 1 device must purchase more past codes.
Stopped in mid February no bug issues. Great stop would definitely stay again :-)

Good view
By user-6180353... on 2017-10-23.
Good CG with nice sites on the water. They are tight but $38 for a waterfront is not bad. Wifi is not free, you'll have to anni up to get connected. No dogs allowed on the grass by the water. Common on... People that don't clean up are not listening to this rule either.

Love love love this park. Have stayed in cabins and tent sites. Bathrooms are bright and always clean. With good showers. Roads are paved and cabins and tent sites always clean. With shade and grass. Camp store is well stocked and has great pizza. Small arcade which ia just enough to b keep the kids entertained for a while. Multiple playgrounds with equipment in great working order.
Have stayed multiple times and cant wait to stay again.

Stayed here in 2015 and since have compared every RV park to this and nothing has been better. Nothing beats the ocean like view provided.

Beautiful campground

Some sites have Lake Huron frontage. Quiet. Bike path nearby to ride to Mackinaw City or Sheboygan.

Awesome View
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
We stayed here four nights in early September. It is a large campground and sites are a bit tight but clean and well maintained. Bathroom and shower facilities are clean also. They have a large waterfront park like area available to all campers with beautiful views of Mackinac Island and the bridge

Excellent
By user-5509700... on 2019-08-09.
We enjoyed our 3 night stay in mid September very much. Not crowded at all this time of year. We stayed on the southeast side of the campground. On this side there is vegetation between sites making them a little more private. A little noisy with maintenance workers but not to bad. We went on a stroll in Mackinaw City and went to the UP. I would highly recommend this campground.

This place is awsom. It s the largest campground I ve ever seen short of Disney. It has everything. Service is great, sites are large and trees between sites. I understand it booked on holidays, hundreds of sites and expanding.

Good to See Mackinaw Area
By user-5781209... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-06-17 to 2019-06-18
Very good for one or more nights to see the Mackinaw area.
$39 all in. 30 amp / w & s. Sites are fairly large and lot's of choices. Suggest you ask for a site in the 600's that face the water. Great view of the Bridge and lake. Lots of bugs in June. Free clean showers. Very large park with really nice beach frontage. It's a good one.

Good for one or more nights. Very large park. Large level sites. Suggest asking for a site that overlooks the water, I think in the 600's. We had back in site one road back from the water. 30 amp, back-in, water and sewers.

BIG campground. Something for everyone.
By user-5861628... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-06-18 to 2019-06-24
This is a very large campground. Great views of Lake Huron from a lot of the sites. Most sites are 30 amp - especially all close to the lake; sights are large enough to accommodate big rigs, but are still a little tight. Some sights larger than others, and are listed on their site that way. Staff is friendly and accomodating.

A peaceful retreat
By user-5758159... on 2019-08-09.
I was at Mill Creek right after the Memorial holiday. I had the beach spots ro myself the firat night. Other than the park being confusing to wander through, it was a great spot for home base. I highly recommend it.
