You will not get any closer to town than this. Perched on a hill the views are spectacular. The facilities are at best basic. No laundry and the showers and toilets are average. They give you a WiFi code but found out it won't work on android, google and any other device we had. Says there is a security issue. The office is the tourist info centre and they are very helpful but helpless to do much. Stay here to visit town for a few days and it is great but move on to somewhere else after a couple of days as there are not the services for longer term stays.
Somewhat slanted gravel parking spots, some with sewer. Washroom and showers. Next door to the town's visitors center, so get your brochures and coupons there. You can walk to the center of the action from here. No amenities at the campground, but there is no better place in town and the price is right. Better call ahead.

It is conveniently located and within walking distance to the Waterfront Town and historic district of Lunenburg, the walk back can be a bit challenging since it is uphill. Make sure to not follow you GPS too much as it may lead you through town, best entry is to come in on road 332 until you reach "Sawpit Rd", then 1st right onto "Blockhouse Hill Rd" will take you direct to the campground. Easy drive to Mahone Bay, Bridgetown, and other areas.
