Nice campground with water, electric, fire ring, picnic tables and dump station. Lots of trees and very quiet. Sad that it's not used, out of 20 campsites only 4 are occupied. Badly managed by the county. No advertising on the campground or how to make reservations. Bathrooms need a few gallons of bleach, paint, new tiles and some elbow grease. Could get a great place if it was managed better. Lots of trees and walking trails. Great park across the street. Enjoyed our stay and can't the price for a campground this close to DC.

A really nice surprise.

A smallsign across from the park said family camping was the only clue that the campground was there. But then we drive on the narrow paved road and found many sites wooded and empty. We gat there at 10 at nite and were exhausted. It was clean and only $13 for seniors. Loved it.

Nice park, not huge campground, but cozy. Explore the trails, playgrounds and natural center. Fee is $23, $13 or $15 (seniors residents or not). The office closes at 3:30 pm or 2:30 on the weekends, so if you get there after , you can just pay next day or if you leave earlier than the time of the office, then your night may be at no charge. All the sites have electricity and water hook up.

Beautiful and peaceful place. No noise and not many people. Lots of spaces, most empty. Electric and water only (make sure to check electric boxes before unhooking, the first box we tried didn't work) with dump station.

Bad signage but look for a sign that says "family camping." Across the street is the office where you pay. The office closes at 3:30 M-F so pay the next day if you're late.

Beautiful Tree Coverage and Inexpensive
By user-5848133... on 2018-03-14.
If you are over 60, and they do check, the rate was only $13. Otherwise $23. The main reason I gave it only 3 stars was 1) very few of the spots were flat. Angled side to side. 2) The dump station is a buried tank. It was full and people were still trying to dump so raw sewage was running over the tar. Extremely quiet other than an occasional helicopter but zero road traffic noise. If I stayed again I would call ahead to check about the dump tank.

Fantastic quiet county park near Joint Base Andrews

Park is quiet, wooded, and serene. Very nice and only $13 a day for Sr's 60+. Sort of hard to find since it is across and down the street from both park entrances and marked with a very small sign. Not designed for big rigs. We found 1 spot for our 42' RV. Camp sites are large and private w/water and 30amp only, with dump station near entrance. Large shopping center and restaurants nearby.

Worst service ever
By user-6043484... on 2019-08-09.
We have been driving 5000 km and this was an epic WOW and not in a good way. Address listed here is wrong. Impossible to reserve on the phone. Actually impossible to do anything on the phone staff is clueless i dare you to call them if you want to be shocked. No visible sign to find the place. No idea where to go chech in. A local man stoped his car and helped us find the spot thats how bad it is.. Trees are not trimmed.. Road in camp is so tiny be carefull with huge rigs. Super nice quiet forest spot really nice, if you don't ruin your rig roof with the trees first

So peaceful.... BUT
By user-5848133... on 2019-08-09.
You can get an amazing night sleep. If you are 60 or over it is only $13. There seems to be absolutely no maintenance. We pulled in after dark. We finally started plugging an electric fan into the power poles instead of opening the compartment on our RV, pulling out the cord, plugging in, only to find out that the breaker was broken. The showers have hot water, that is where it ends. Severe leaks, broken fixtures and dirty. I will give them credit that the dump station did not have an overflowing black water tank this time. The exit was still gated up at 7:25 a m. when we wanted to pull out. We had to back up, go down a one-way road to pay and get out. Was the great night sleep worth $13. Heck yeah

Old, quiet, back to basic. All we wanted. Restroom old but clean. Office open for registration (fron 7am to 3 pm) on sports park on the given address (next to baseball field). Across the street the actual campsite. Washington DC nearby.
