Free stay
By user-5922274... on 2017-10-23.
Free stay, donations welcome. They have about 10 rv sites in the city park. No water on site but there is a dump station/fill station across the street. We were the only ones there.

Hard To Find, But Worth The Search
By user-6420437... on 2017-10-23.
My GPS had me wandering all over town looking for Lewis Park. Pulled over to ask a nice lady where the park was located. She sent us on our correct way. The sign says you may stay free for three days, including 50 amp electricity! We will surely leave a donation. Also, the park is very nice city park.

Stayed 2016-09-29 to 2016-10-01
Not much here for camping but what more do you want for free. Sites have elec. and half are 30 amp and half are 50 Amp. the rest is up to you. You can stay for 3 nights. Sites are a bit small and for me (40ft) it was hard to level but got it done. It is a great place to stop and relax. This is a city park so there are lots of game courts and things like that.

Water all over the place, has a dump site and is good for 3 days every month. Train does go by, but use to them.

This is a great free place for over night camping. We stopped on our trip up to Yellowstone. They have 20,30,50 amp electric hookup. Seemed like a nice quite park, it was tucked back about a 1.5 from highway. Clean area also good for walking pets.

By user-5243961... on 2017-10-23.
Great city park with 50 amp electric available and water across road from RV area. Easy access for big rigs and easy route back to freeway. Public swimming pool and baseball sports complex within walking distance. Picnic area of park has children's playground. Only down side are the trains that go by across the road

Good for overnight
By user-5879671... on 2017-10-23.
Very nice of Wheatland to provide this facility in their park. Unfortunately these places are being being abused today . We did spend the night and really appreciated the 50 amp power on the 99 degree day. No trains overnight, very quiet and we got on our way . Thank you Wheatland.

Stayed 2018-05-28 to 2018-05-31
Stayed 3 nights here in class A, loved it here. Nice town, quiet and well kept. Park is close to the highway. You can stay 3 nights out of every 30 nights, donations requested. Huge playground area a short distance from the campsites. Dump is available on the East side of the site, and fresh water is available in several places. The sites closest to the road have electric, about 6-8 sites have electric. We saw a patrol car drive through every night, which is nice to know that someone is watching the place. The only down side is the train goes through about 3 times a night and scares the begeebers out of you if you’re sleeping lol. Many thanks to the city of Wheatland for the awesome stay!

We tried to stay but not room for 40 foot. Nice park. Only a few have electricity and they were blocked off. The dump and portable water is right across the street. Nice place to rest. The park is nice.

Everything you need

This place is great for the price. . They have water and four electric boxes that will service eight campers. But you better get there early! We showed up on Saturday at about 3 o clock and very shortly there after all were taken.
