Campground is clean, spots are close to each other but very large campground with 3 sections. The county park is very nice with fishing and kids play grounds.

Beautiful regional park
By user-4775124... on 2017-10-23.
The lake and surrounding area are beautiful, nice walking path around the entire property, playground for kids, huge grassy areas, three separate campgrounds. We were in a full hookup spot, pretty close to our neighbors but faced the grassy area so it felt more spacious. Saw hot air balloons in the morning.

Stayed 2018-01-30 to 2018-02-01
We arrived on January 29th 2018 for a three-day, two-night stay. I was greeted at the main gate by a very helpful and friendly gentleman named Sam. He checked us in without a problem and helped me with the best fishing sites and what kind of baits work well in this Lake. The campgrounds were sparsely inhabited by fellow campers, but we're far enough apart as to not bother anyone with campfires or quiet music. Hookups were excellent with 50 amp electrical, clean plentiful water, and on-site septic hookups at each campsite. There were multiple hiking trails that were well groomed and easy to access from all of the campgrounds. We stopped at the camp store on the way in and were warmly greeted by the store staff. The small Market had a multitude of things including a selection of food and fishing supplies as well as the daily permits required to fish in the lake. Again, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The campsite was huge and handled my 30 foot RV with no problems at all. The grounds were kept in excellent repair and no trash or debris where noted anywhere in the campgrounds. Fortunately the site that we chose had an excellent view of the lake for both sunrise and sunset viewing. Surprisingly, there were no insects other than a few flies. For the hookups we had 50 amp electricity, clean fresh water and onsite sewage hook-ups. We fished for a couple of days but where unlucky and didn't catch a thing. But, the view from the Lakeshore was astounding and in conjunction with the surrounding mountain ridges it made for an extremely beautiful viewpoint. We met a few fellow campers along the way and they too were very gracious and friendly to talk with. At this time of year the ambient daytime temperature is around 78 to 82 degrees, and the nights get chilly around the upper 40s. If you like peace and quiet and beautiful scenery and fishing you really can't do much better than Lake Skinner. I will definitely be back.

Stayed 2018-06-08 to 2018-06-10
I’ve stayed here many times with friends and we love it. It’s close enough to do some wine tasting, but you still feel far enough away to enjoy camping. I wish you could swim in the lake, but it’s still a great campground.

Lake Skinner Fun!
By user-5013861... on 2018-07-06.
Stayed here Father’s Day weekend and had a blast! This was our maiden voyage with our first travel trailer. We got a pull through spot next to a camp host spot and the spot was vacant the whole time. The park was full but everyone there was respectful of the quiet hours. We were in lot A and a huge grass area across from us. Great for kids and pets. The splash pad was down on day one but it was up and running the rest of the time. Lake was nice but not a great fisherman here yet. Not all spot full hookups but since we just starting that was a must. Only drama was that someone crashed into a power pole off the grounds and took out the whole park power! Edison did their best and got the power back on 14 hours later. So we learned the importance of needing a generator just in case. Kids loved it and we had a blast. Camp store is great. So we will definitely be back.
