IF - you like being packed together like sardines
IF - you like spending the evening listening to screaming children
IF - you like people being allowed to carry on "domestic" disputes outdoors all night
IF - you like to listen to other people singing off-key to amplified music late at night
IF - you like motorized vehicles buzzing around
IF - you think management calling this a quiet campground at 11PM
THEN - this is the place for you

Clean and quiet
By user-6427810... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here for 4 nights. Admittedly in the off season. Big shade trees, we had a pull through with FHU,s and a lake view. Is close to down town Mitchell. Place was clean. They are in the process of growing new grass. Has playground equipment for kids.

Prices went up in 2017

The folks who sub leased the campground gave it up and the city took over management in 2017. Nice CG but rates went up to $37 a night. Full hook ups including TV. You do everything self service. No reservation system. First come first served thus the usage is way down. We stayed there for 5 months last year. Nice CG though

Paradise on the edge of the city
By user-6452467... on 2019-08-09.
A city run rv Park that s awesome, how could that be? Well it happens when you have a beautiful piece of property on a huge lake. Full hookups and much more.
This is a little oasis less than two miles from the world famous Corn Palace. We scored a shady pull through site with full hookups (no cable though). The campground has a small playground and you can walk to the waters edge where there s a small beach.
We ran to Walmart and saw several RV s dry camping but for a mere $37 we were in paradise, it doesn t hurt when you have a great host so kudos to you Willie.
I wouldn t hesitate to stay here again...

I'd stay here again

Quiet, nice and flat pull thru's, lots of trees. Camp host greeted us (as opposed to other parks where we've stayed where the camp host was MIA). A little pricey.
