By user-5819090... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2016-06-16 to 2016-06-20
The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed on the water and found the price reasonable. The park is well cared for, very dog friendly with a leash off area. This was a great find!

Nice wooded campground
By user-6005787... on 2017-10-23.
Love the trees. Bathrooms were spotless. Gravel roads & sites but level. Very friendly campground hosts. One walked us to a spot when we got in after dark. Cost us $31.00 with senior/Good Sam discount for 30 amp electric. Will definitely stay again.

Nice Campground
By user-5837284... on 2017-10-23.
Only downside was the shower. Bathrooms are very nice but the shower is regulated with no way to adjust the temperature. If you don't use the shower at a campground or like a less than lukewarm shower it's great!

Nice park, friendly staff. Full hookups, everything worked. Close sites, but typical for this part of the world, grass pads

Nice, clean, great staff
By user-5081923... on 2017-10-23.
Honestly, we camp all the way down the keys and we liked the place. Its quiet, it has trees, nice salt water pool, fishing dock and everyone does their own thing.
Not much kids, a lot of retired . we will surely book for another year. Its pricy but hey ! You are in the keys !!

One of our favorite spots to rv in the Keys !

Great park
By user-1720002 on 2017-10-23.
This is one of the hidden gems of the keys. The staff is wonderful and will go out of their way to he'll make your stay exceptional. The park is clean and well cared for. We have stayed there 3 times now and each time was perfect. They are constantly updating and manicuring the property. The pool and surrounding area was upgraded in 2013 and many more improvements are scheduled for 2014. It is located right on the water giving access for boaters or someone just enjoying the beautiful view.

Bad and Good
By user-6587848... on 2018-03-14.
Stayed 2018-02-26 to 2018-03-05
First the bad:
-Tons of rules: no mats, no grills on tables, no Rv washing, dogs must stay off grass (that’s okay...the burrs hurt his feet anyway)walk on the pavement and only do their business in the bark park (that’s tough to control while walking to the park).
-High price
-Expensive laundry
-Picky neighbors (1 hour after we left, we got a call from the office that they’d had multiple complaints of our dog barking.)
-no jacuzzi
-spotty WiFi that drops a lot
-$30 cash pet deposit (refundable if you follow the rules)
The Good:
-Beautiful Sunsets-everyone gathers to watch at the water/pier and celebrate together, cocktails in hand
-Social group-lots of repeat winter visitors. They all just love it here. Most people know each other.
-Central location -good location for visiting all the sights
-Cool iguanas roaming the grounds
-Beautiful piers that are lit up blue at night underneath, to watch fish and critters. Tons of lobsters to search for with flash lights.
-Clean inviting pool
-Even though we broke tons of rules, they didn’t say anything to us. (How can you control where the dog pees?)
-close to Curry Hammock State park-amazing!
The first few days I was frustrated by the rules and neighbors. By the end of our stay the beauty of the sunsets caused me to forget that frustration.

Saved our Day TWICE!
By anonymous-user on 2018-07-06.
We looked for a site after hours after we arrived 1 day earlier than though at the keys. Call them and got a site - Very helpful staff!
We leaved for a short hoop at key west and planned to stay at the (long) already booked Grassy Key RV near Jolly Roger. Called them to ask for 15min tolerance past the entry hour: DENIED. Lost my money - They where respectful though "Just following park policy". Called Jolly again and got a spot! Thanks!

The norm is to park on grass down here in the Keys, I guess. A nice brick paver patio. Sites are not too tight. Good water pressure. Nice asphalt roads. A pavilion, a small sand "beach", pool, pier, and roped off swimming area in the Gulf. There are a lot of pet rules, and a $30 cash deposit is taken for dogs. For more money, you can park on the front facing the Gulf. We would stay here again. Good Sam discount.

Should really be called "Jolly Rules"
By user-5794086... on 2019-08-09.
OK park. but needs updating and "clean up". The park appears to have gone through a couple of incarnations as the site layouts are very "confused". When they laid out the current configuration and maybe previous ones as well they left all of the old posts, connections and facilities in place. For example, they put a bright green sticker on each check-in sheets regarding parking on the "pads. However, most sites do not have discernible pads. Also as the title suggests they have a rule for everything. We have stayed at a lot of parks, but none with as many rules as "Jolly Rules" and threats of penalties.

Just OK but in a wonderful location
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-06-28 to 2019-07-03
Our experience here was pretty mixed. As others have said, there are definitely pros and cons. We stayed 5 nights in a 37' travel trailer.
Pros:
Fast wifi
Great location on Marathon
Beautiful dock and seawall with boat launch, swimming, tiki area - perfect for sunsets
Seawall sites are very nice
Good size pool
You can use passport America
Cons:
Regular sites are rough - they are grass and sand with a very small concrete patio
Sites are also very tight
They have oppressive rules about dogs that make you feel on edge while you're there. The dog park is full of gravel, weeds and overall is shabby.
Laundry is $4 just to wash and over $2 to dry
Pool closes at sunset
Overall, I doubt we will return. Most of the sites really need some tlc, and it just feels too tense there...not laid back like most campgrounds we've been to. Thankfully we used our PA discount, otherwise it is definitely not worth it.
