Nothing fancy about this campground. Run by nice people. Only accept cash or checks no credit cards. There is no camp store. Roads are all gravel as well as all the sites being gravel. I didn't search for a bath house since we were self-contained.

Works for us. Definitely a good place to stop after the teeth rattling ride on IH30. Very pleasant park but watch out for ticks. Cash or check only but the price is right compared to others. On our list to stay when we pass this,way again .

This park features long fairly level full hook up sites. We used 30 amp and paid $30 via check.(no credit) The rest rooms were adequate- the showers were hot- tho the shower head was low for me at 6' tall. Good directional signs. Phone contact was pleasant and helpful. Some traffic noise but not to the point of being distracting. We would stop again. We have a 53' rig- pull behind trailer.

Nice, quiet place

Stayed for overnight only but it was easy to find, reasonable price, nice spot in the trees. Met by a friendly person who showed us to our spot and where to plug in/hook up. Could hear highway traffic but not bad. Bathhouse is a small, older building but clean and warm. Would definitely stay again.

Pulled in a 6 pm , we were met by the owner, given a great easy pull through with giant pines. Very quiet but when walking the park met some very friendly , gracious people. We will be coming back

Good enough

This was our second choice. After getting lost and having to turn a 40 ft rig around, we made it. Nice and secluded. Saw goats and a donkey. No street noise and real dark at night.

We picked this sight unseen, made a call in late afternoon and snagged the last full hookup available. Pleased with the setting, helpful staff/owner who gave patient directions in laid back manner. Plenty of room and quiet setting. Slight hiwau noise but also some birds and frogs. Roads and sights are gravel with a few rough spots,but going easy made it fine. We parked 32 ft MH with toad with no problem.

Very Nice Campground

This is a small campground just a few minutes off the highway. The owner, Glenn, is a very cordial welcoming person. We have a Class B and had a nice level gravel spot. We arrived around 3:00 in the afternoon. All spots are pull through. There were about three spots left when we arrived so you may want to call of arriving after 3:00 as all spots were gone by 5:00.
There is a nice cinderblock building with a washer and dryer. Both restrooms had 2 stalls and two showers. They were very clean. I took a shower and it felt great to have hot water after a long day.
There is also a pond you can fish. I was told there are 10 to 20 lb catfish in addition to bass, bluegill,and croppie.

Was looking for a nice place to stop for the night that wasn’t just a big parking lot. Picked based on good reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Knew I might arrive late, so they held a spot for us. No issues parking our 40’ rig, and signage was great from the highway to the campground. Owner and other campers were all very friendly. And great prices!

Nice place for overnight stop. Shady level pull thru with full hook ups. Gentlemen who checked us in was very very nice and helpful. No WiFi or cable but antenna channels good. Would stay again, easy on easy off I-30. 35 FW

Most of the park is FT and the sites are junky. No light at night was difficult to findour spot. Very sketchy. We would not stay here again.

Pretty much echo previous reviews it is a great place to spend the night when traveling. Roads and sites are in need of some TLC, but functional. Campground was quiet for us we had no issues. Happy to stop again if we need a place to hang our hat for the evening. I wouldn't recommend this as a place to rest and relax for an extended stay ... but works as a 'base camp' if you have local places to see and go to.
