Clean, quiet, friendly
By user-6207557... on 2017-10-23.
Houston West is a regular stop for us. Jackie, the manager, is super nice. The spots are gravel, level, and wide enough for opposing slides, and long enough so we do not have to unhook. There are several pull thrus. The office is open until 6 PM, with a number for the camp host after hours. We do not use the baths, but I assume they are as clean as the office.
While there are several permanent residents, their places are neat and clean for the most part. We never feel unsafe. We love walking around the lake.
It is an easy on/off to I-10.
Call ahead, as they do fill up.

Quaint

We stayed there for weekend, nice for short stay but most were long-term sites. Right off interstate easy to get to Houston but problems with construction.

Dirty, Junky
By user-5864354... on 2017-10-23.
This part is full of long term RV that have junk including car parts and garbage stored outsider trailers.
Dogs tied up outside of trailers. People coming and going at all hours of the night. Next time if I need to stop in this area I would just stay in the walmart parking lot.

Dirty junkie post

I have seen this exact post on several sites. I think it is just a copy and paste. Don't believe it. Nice park and nice people. Large sites. Will stay again.

Concerned traveler

The Woodalls and Good Sam rating missed it completely. No way is this a 9.5/9.5/9 rv park. The sites were not level or long enough for a 40' 5th wheel and dually truck. The seasonal (or whatever all the mess was) did not help the appearance of this park. Not near anything and I must have missed all the updates their website mentioned. Missing lights in the women's bathroom and mold on shower curtain. Will NOT be back.

Arrived early and was able to get in right away. Site has gravel with grass around it. Tidy park. Would recommend this park for others. We are 40' MH with a tow behind in a pull through site. Paid $42 including tax with Good Sam discount.

We arrived late, James, Camp Host met us at entrance and assigned us a spot. We were so grateful since we d been on road all day. Clean, quiet, close to Interstate 10, extremely easy to get to.

Wonderful stay!
By user-6535741... on 2019-08-09.
New dog park, new showers, swimming pool, hot tub, pond,- laundry facilities looked great! Great park, only stayed one night. Quiet, especially for having 179 spots! Don't let the old reviews fool you, they've completely renovated the park. Seemed to fill up fast, call ahead.

Wonderful overnight stay

We arrived at 2am hoping there was space. A box in front of the office opens up into a desk with maps and payment envelopes. The open spaces were circled on the map, but there were only 4 open spots. The first one we arrived at was taken, the second one we got. This park is pet friendly, had a catch and release pond, a pool and laundry - none of which we experienced. Dumpsters are located right at the front. We hopped back on the road first thing in the morning. We would visit this park again. Very friendly office staff!

Called after hours and James explained the process. Pulled in after dark but had no issues finding out spot and setting up. Woke up and realized how amazing this site is. The pond is great, playground and pool too. The best part was the bath house, nice and clean bathroom/shower. The staff was great and we will stay again.
