If you love the beach, this is the place for you. It has seen better days. There is a fishing pier that costs $1 to walk on or $8 to fish off even if you are camping there for $65 a day. There is nothing to do except sit on the beach. No cable, no internet, no playground for kids. High end beach houses all around it. Would not recommend this place.
Sand lot directly on the beach with full hook ups. No shower house, very basic but that's what we wanted. Kinda expensive but you pay for the location. They only take cash. As to having to pay for pier access, it is owned by a different company and just managed by them- thus the $1 usage fee. This place is super casual- manages all reservations in a paper notebook and hand writes receipts. If you don't like that kinda vibe pick somewhere else. This is a great area though and they have fun free Sunday concerts under the bridge.
Forgot to mention in previous review that you have to be careful not to get stuck in the sand. It can get a little dodgy.
