| Heyburn State Park - Hawleys Landing Campground
The Benewah campground was closed but Hawleys Landing campground was still open. (Next to the visitor's center - should be open until nearly the end of Oct.) Your basic state park campground, with about 30 sites having water and electric (dump station was available) and 8 sites with full hookups. $16 +tax with senior discount for W/E. Plenty of hiking and some good birding opportunities. We stayed in our class B motorhome and plan to return in the future.
| Huge, beautiful state park!
Loving the dense forest and spacious site with hook-ups. Bathrooms are typical for a state park with unlimited hot showers. We are on Hawley Landing near the visitor center and 1.2 miles from the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. Will return again!
