| Facilities need upgrading

Otherwise, it's a decent location with some sites by the river, and others by the road with a few in between. Easy to register. Used electric only as it was winter and weren't using water; therefore the facilities are important to us.

Very nice sites, level. Good separation between with grass and tables. They are working on bathroom upgrade. Close to Salida, 4 mi and other area sites. Gold medal fishing waters on the Arkansas river right from your site, excellent. I would come again.

| Trees

Could be very nice stopover except for the trees and their unwillingness to fix the problem. The trees are only willows but the sucker limbs haven't been trimmed for years. I told them when we got into our lot they would need to cut the low protruding limbs before we could leave. It wasn't done so in the morning I reminded them but was told only the owner could authorize trimming and they didn't know where they were or when they would return. "That's above my pay grade " was their answer. Spent night in motor home. Not very big rig friendly.

Level sites, river ones have great views of Arkansas River. Good room between sites. Real close to Salida (a fun town-lots of things there). Wifi very slow. Facilities are clean though.

| Pretty Much Ideal

Rolled in planning to stay one night & ended up not wanting to leave after 3. Very helpful & friendly staff- especially Velma! Located along the Arkansas river, the area is scenic & relaxing. Seems to attract nicer RV ers who are friendly and engaging. Plenty of shade and very clean showers and baths. Very dog friendly . Less than 5 minutes to Salida. Well worth a stay for a day or a month. We met several couples who return annually to spend the entire Summer. ONLY complaint is lack of cable TV as there wasn t much in the way of over-the-air stations available. We will return and stay longer, but we ll have satellite next time :)
