This a real local treasure! 600 plus acres of hiking and exploring. Lots of WWII sites, submarine nets, searchlights, all to protect Puget Sound in war time. Get a site on the shore like number 115. Reserve early!
We stumbled onto this park on a swing through the area. We liked it so much we stayed 2 extra nights. I expect the Park may be busy during the prime season but at this time it was OK. Of course the water edge spots are all reserved but we found a nice place. Some spots are very opened and wind may be an issue but there many places further away from the water that probably isn t very windy. Very interesting fort history and nice hiking trails.
