Need I say more. Emma Long is a nice getaway while remaining in the city. Caution howerver. Camp sites are first come first serve, and we experienced a double booking situation. Fortunately, the gentleman that already booked it was very nice, but it did create a little stress for our family since we were all unpacked and ready to camp. Half we were able to work it out. I would suggest staking your site and pay.for it while the office is open. Campers need to know by sight which site is available or not. Great sites along the lake for families. At times also partiers. You can call 911 if the roudy neighbors get too loud and crazy. All in all 4 out if 5 stars. Lastly, great hiking trails. Bring your boat, canoe, or kayak and tie it up in front if your campsite.

Beautiful sites and scenery. It gets a 2 stars due to restrooms closed for repairs, no dump station. Hard to find website to book.http://www.austintexas.gov/department/parks-and-recreation. It has electric and water. Price was good $25 for water front space. Bring your canoe. I can see this being real busy and noisy in the summer and weekends.
