Was informed on March 4th 2017 that this park is for long-term only. Too bad.
There are only about 9 sites available for short term rental. About half have concrete pads. Ours, probably usually reserved for the park manager, was just awesome! The others range from good to great. Traveling with a friend? One very large, beautiful buddy site is available. The challenge to this park is the relatively steep switchback road to it. We elected to disconnect the dinghy. Next time we will do that in front of MGM brake, next to the Shell station at the next offramp north. Also, our rig is very tall. Navigating thru the trees in & out of the neighborhood leading to the park as carefully as I could, I still made contact with a few branches. As long as the coach wasn't damaged (and it was not), it was worth it. We found a lot to do in the area but mostly enjoyed just staying at this beautiful site. Nothing for kids to do here, but it is a great place for adults to spend time just sitting around the rig soaking up the beautiful, quiet scenery. Very nice park managers. Tip - For a first time visit, if in a motorhome, take the dinghy up first to sign in. This will reassure you that the initially intimidating hill is very manageable.
Beautiful grounds with welcoming host who answered our over tired questions lol. Clean pool. Clean bathing facilities. Drive up seemed daunting but able to swing it in our 32 ft class c with low hanging water tanks ... Will update if any problems with trip down. Cost of site $70.85 with tax for premium pull thru, a bit more then stated in RV parky, but worth it IMHO. Would have stayed longer if we could to explore area more thoroughly...
