About

Located approximately 6 miles north and west from the City of White Cloud in Newaygo County, you can experience this 156 acre park with 2,000 feet of frontage on the sparkling waters of Diamond Lake, an all-sports lake. Adjacent lands are owned by the Manistee National Forest. The campground currently offers 2 camping cabins, 60 campsites of which 24 are full hook-up (water, sewer and electric), and the remaining 36 sites are electric. There are two bathroom/shower buildings and a shelter building that can be reserved. Additionally the park contains a sanitation station, play areas, swimming beach, horseshoes, beach volleyball, hiking trails, picnic area, and enclosed shelter building. Enjoy a hike in Michigan’s north woods. Starting from the trailhead at Diamond Lake County Park, adventurous hikers may trek forth on the 10 mile, circular, Birch Grove Trail. This trail through the Manistee National Forest passes through the only wildflower sanctuary (Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary) within the entire National Forest System. Birch Grove trail also connects with the National Park Service’s 2,000 mile long North Country National Scenic Trail.
