Great little campground just o.ff the Natchez Trace about 20 miles South of Tupelo Mississippi. Level camper sites, mostly beside the lake. Great fishing. The Forest Service drained the lake about 20 years ago and stocked it with the Florida strain Largemouth Bass. The lake also had plenty of Crappie, Walleye, Shell crackers and Bluegill. They have good bath houses with showers, restrooms and laundry, but they could use a little more daily cleaning.
This place is so beautiful and peaceful, you'll want to stay for a week, but it's tiny. If it gets too popular it will be hard to find a site here. Love it. We are new snowbirds and we plan to stay here both on the way south, and coming back north again. Campground hosts are wonderful.
What a great find! Very nice sites all pretty much have a lake view. Great place to stay if you are driving the Natchez Trace Pkwy.
