Not a bad place to stay

No hook ups, but very clean. Paved road and sites. Watch out for the goat head stickers. Pleasant staff. First come, first served, no reservations .

Clean and quiet. No hookups. Campsites are shaded and pads are paved. Water and dump available. No discount for Senior Pass. One lady came by offering Indian crafts. We declined, no problem.

Nice campground
By user-5848396... on 2017-10-23.
Once you come out of the visitors center you make 3 rights to reach the campground. It's $14 a night. Cash only. There are no hook ups. Very quite and clean. If you would like to book a tour to see the canyon its close by. We also ate at the Lodge next door which was very good. Would diffently stop back by if in the area.

Great place to stay.

Super quiet. Arrived late. Lots of open spaces. However, it is kind of tight to be navigating in the dark. If you have a large RV I would try to get here during the day (we are only 25 ft)

Clean park
By user-6628091... on 2019-08-09.
The place is well maintained even if it is a "no service" park. The sites are paved and levelled. As a bonus you are right next to the Canyon de Chelly south rim trail.

Nice no services park
By user-6004773... on 2019-08-09.
Lots of space between sites. No problem finding a spot for my 41 foot RV. Big trees. Sewer dump station and water fill near the entrance. Great trading Post/ gift shop at the Thunderbird Lodge next door. Nightly Navajo Indian program next door on the lawn. The Jeep tours in the canyon are wonderful. Lots of water in the canyon now so we were fording water in the Jeep about 40% of the time. Spider rock overlook at sunset was spectacular.. Don't miss.

Nice Basic Campground

Large campground - no reservations but we had no trouble finding a spot for our 37 ft. 5th wheel. Space available most nights. There is no power, water, or sewer at the campground sites so you must dry camp. There is water available at the dump station and the dump station is easy in and out. Beautiful scenery in the canyon. The town of Chinle has all of the basic services - gas, restaurants, bank, stores, etc.

We found a long pull through site which fit our 39 foot motorhome , towing. Campground is clean, quiet, the site was level. Dark at night, which we love. Freshwater and a dump station are available in loop 1
Site17 in Loop one will definitely fit a 45 foot motorhome towing

Lovely spot

We ve been here several times and like this park a lot. We ve come in the early summer and had the park all to ourselves. No amenities except a dump, but shaded and large spots.
