Lovely Shade

Slender spots on a hill, bring your levelers and chocks. Shade was perfect, hook ups worked. BRING BUG SPRAY

Beautiful place will go again.

We enjoyed our stay. Very much. Our sight was pretty level. And it was a short walk to the shop. The grocery. And it was nice to walk down to the lake and watch the sunset. I would recommend this place to anyone because it was awesome. And if you're going to Yellowstone, it's not that far of a drive if you brought a car.

We spent 4 nights at the park and really enjoyed staying at Colter Bay Village. We went to several Ranger talks at the visitor center which was just a short walk from our site. We had a wonderful buffet breakfast at the John Colter restaurant, which is also as short walk away. The sites are not all level, so plan for that. The water, sewer and power all worked just fine. There is poor cell service in the area, but they had WiFi in the Launderette and the restaurant. All in all a great place to stay.

Drove down from YNP on a Monday spent two nights and totally enjoyed the campground. Made reservation about two weeks before stay and was really pleased with our site and the proximity to bravo on Jackson Lake. Will stay here next time we visit Yellowstone.

Very Happy Campers
By user-5033353... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed at CBV RV Park the end of July/2016 and fell in love with it there. We are planning a return trip Sept 2017. The grounds were gorgeous and our site perfect. Restrooms very clean. Although the park was full, we met lots of wonderful people and the business really didn't matter. We loved the proximity to the village. The market was awesome! The launderette was convenient. The village was just a short walk from our site as was the Lake. I got a little misty when it was time to break camp. I can't wait to return. We have a 24ft class C and our site was a back in although it looked like a pull-through.

Great price with senior pass of about $38 a night, beautiful view of the Tetons along the beach area on Jackson lake. Definitely need bug spray near dark, but what a great place to live for a few days. We took a sunset cruise on Jackson Lake, it was great, great General Store, good restaurants, almost perfect. Most of the campsites will need some leveling, but that was ok.

After trying Signal Mountain shoehorn campground, we tried Colter Bay no hookup RV Park. There was an electric site available. Huge, paved, level site. Easily fit our 30 plus toad. Easy access to trash, recycling, dump, water and the Grand Tetons. Not for people who have problems with other people or kids. A little noisy and close. But was a great basecamp for sight seeing.

Lots of people at this park. So if you don't like neighbors you may want to choose a different place. Nestled in pine trees right next to Jackson Lake. Visitors center for the park within walking distance. Good bathrooms and laundry. No cell phone service or Wi-Fi at campsites.
Lots of trails. Lots of traffic on main roads. Expensive because it is inside Grand Tetons park borders.

Awesome Place in Grand Teton with many amenities

We parked here for 2 nights and loved it. One of our favorite parks so far. We were there at the very beginning of tourist season so the sites were mostly empty and very quiet. Immediately the staff at the gate were more than accommodating and so very friendly. The site we stayed in was ADA so we had electric. Bear boxes are at every site. Bathrooms near sites are just toilets. There is an awesome FULL grocery store, gift shop, marina with rentals, gas station, laundry and pay showers. There are also multiple restaurants. there is a dump station on the way out that has potable water and another one near the sites but it was not in service. The location was also perfect. We will definitely be back to Colter Bay!

Nice location - cell service not so nice

This is a nice location. Crowded sites but acceptable. Cell carrier was 3rd party and very spotty. Trees covered satellite dish. Weather was issue when leaving, better cell service would have helped. Would go back.

Wonderful camping sights. Lots of shade. Plenty of things to do & see. Easy location to get to the Tetons parks & Yellowstone! Wonderful views. Only problem we had was at the Laundry facilities. Out of 10 or 12 washing machines, only about 4 were working. Several dryers were down too. But the grocery store/gift shop were terrific. There s also a restaurant & you can get a pizza! Definitely coming back!
