| Very Nice RV park and campgrounds on historic Ft Monroe
Very clean and well maintained RV park and camp ground. Great location on Historic Ft Monroe...walking distance to the fort grounds, lots of very cool historic buildings. Great club and beach within walking distance. Nice general store located on the camp grounds... very family friendly, Pat & Pat go out of their way to ensure a fun, friendly, comfortable and safe experience for everyone.

I'm a full time camper and I stayed during the slow season there. I've stayed at every military installation camp ground from Williamsburg to VA beach and their hospitality is second to none. The grounds and facilities are kept very very clean. Bring your family and friends. If you're sight seeing or vacationing the location could not be any better. If you're local make it a family tradition every year. Whatever you do Pat and Pat will make your visit wonderful.
| Beautiful Campground
We stayed here while enjoying some quality time with our grandson. Great beach with good salt water fishing. Lovely owners with a well stocked general store. This was a military campground left over when Ft. Monroe was an active base. Not but five 50 amp sites. I would highly recommend.

Welcome to the Colonies RV and Travel Park! My husband and I traveled all over the country in our motor home during the past six years looking for an ideal place to settle down. When we arrived at Fort Monroe, VA, it immediately became clear to both of us that this is the place we were meant to be. We are conveniently located near Williamsburg, Newport News, Yorktown, Virginia Beach and some of the largest active military bases in the country. Fort Monroe is the only fort in the country that is completely surrounded by a water moat. Whether you are a history buff, a beach fan or just love being in the great outdoors, Fort Monroe is the place for you. Over the years of RV travel Pat and I have seen the good, the bad and ugly that camp grounds have to offer. Understanding the experience RV owners and tent campers are looking for was the key that enabled us to create a one of a kind site in a one of a kind location. Our amenities include thirteen RV spots named after the thirteen original colonies. Each RV site has its own water, electricity and sewage hook up right on the site. We support both 30 and 50 amp connections. In addition there are 10 overflow spots with water and electricity. For tent campers, we offer plenty of open, shaded and even protected areas to choose from surrounding the RV area. Great for singles, couples, or large gatherings, and everything is within a base ball's throw from the water.
