| Nice park
The park is kept up nicely. Even though I came after hours, I was greeted by the office staff. All were very friendly and helpful. Lots of full timers but I found it quiet and pleasant. They had a great spot for my big rig although you must be careful getting there. I didn't use the wi-fi so can't comment on that. Pool is closed for repairs. I would stay here again. Stayed in a motorcoach
| What's not to like?
Sure lots of full timers and we are just passing through. But that is true in many places. Showers and bathroom is very clean, attractive, with plenty of hot water. Sites are gravel, not dirt level with cable t.v. strong Verizon service and Wi-Fi is passible which is better than most. Shade on most. It not all transient sites too. We were close to the highway, so it was a little noisy; though there is a fence to cut some of that problem. For $38 full hookup, average for the area, we were very comfortable the night we stayed.

Very little appealing about this place. Needs a lot of work. Tight spots. You need to tell them what spot you need when you book but they won't tell you that.

Colonia del Rey is the highest rated RV Park in Corpus Christi. Outside the park, activities include walks along the beach or main attractions such as the USS Lexington, Whooping Crane Tours, deep sea fishing, Whataburger Field, home of the Corpus Christi Hooks, Marine Science building in Port Aransas, Christmas House, and the Botanical Gardens. An over night trip to a Louisiana Casino or a dolphin-watch boat trip are possibilities as well! With planned excursions to the South Texas Opry, Greyhound Race Track, Ice Rays hockey games, Islanders basketball games, Bull Riding/Rodeo, and you can enjoy just about anything or sit back and relax! Colonia del Rey features a full set of activities oragnized by our staff Activities Director, during the Winter season. Within the RV park, we have the all time favorite game night with poker, cribbage, hand & foot, and bridge tournaments. You can find a "Texas Hold 'Em". Tournament almost every week or try your hand at bingo. We also have a number of different ways of playing dominos. Let us spoil you with countless things to do.
