The only problem is we are here the wrong time of year and everything is closed because all it does is rain. The facilities are nice, great kids area, HUGE dog run, most spots are easy to get into and have a bit of privacy between Neighbour's...especially now because no one is here but us! If we had come in high season it might be busy but from the looks of it and the wall we did this afternoon this place would be happening during peak time...would def want to give it another go when the weather is nicer
This is the very first Thousand Trails campground. It's nicer then a State Park. Sites are a good size. Two swimming pools, mini golf, hiking, plus other activities makes it worth the trip.
We chose to come to Chehalis for spring break because it was close to home for us. It s a beautiful park with lots of trees and foliage. We stayed in the G loop, which has the most sewer sites (sewer sites account for maybe 10% of the parks sites). We were lucky enough to snag a sewer site upon our arrival but it was one of the last few that would fit our 33ft travel trailer. The G loop restroom was very clean but the shower is not very good. There is little water pressure and the space is small (very hard to wash hair in). The staff we encountered was very friendly and always smiling. Overall we were very satisfied with our week long stay. We have the annual zone pass for our area so we did not have a fee to stay. There is also a large off leash dog park that was plenty of room for our 2 Danes to run around.
