Spent 2 nights in mid April. The parking lot borders the breach way, which is a calm inlet into the salty marshes. The kids enjoyed fishing right in front of the rv. It's a 2 minute walk to the big beach with the crashing waves and beautiful sand. We found pretty rocks and sharks egg casings. Would be great fun to kayak and canoe but we didn't have them and the rental place wasn't open. Took off 1 star because it's All dry camping. But you do have access to water and sewer dump at Burlingame state park, which is 15 min away. Super Walmart is 20 min away, and good for supplies. Route 1 into the campground is great to drive on, but some of the u turns are tight. Look ahead and plan ahead a little to find the best route!

We stayed adjacent to the ocean's outlet and it was so quiet and serene. There were only two other campers who were spread out. So out of the entire lot there were only three of us. Incredibly quiet minimal foot traffic. $20 for out of State residence. Incredible views and peaceful, 100% boondocking if you don't bring what you need you don't have it. Only drawback is that you had to turn off your generator at 8 pm which I thought was way too early.

| Dry camping

This campground has etiquette. I've been coming for awhile. For a long time you would need to stay up all night in line at the office to get the front row spot. I remember a handful of people always out there and fisherman everywhere at night. Then a few years ago, they starting allowing reservations to be made online. This is a fisherman's campground. This is dry parking lot camping and it's tough to book a spot here. Most of us don't bring generators just solar panels. We don't run our generators all day (like a camper next to me all week). Be ready for boat traffic and launching noise early 5-6 am. There really isn't a place for kids to play ( it's just a sand parking lot) but you can go to the beach out front and clamming at low tide. You can pull mussels out front of your camper. This isn't a place if you like your luxuries, this spot is all necessity .
