A few years ago the cottages, cabins and RV camping were rolled into one resort. Camper Village is now a part of Lighthouse Point. Look for Camper Village for reviews.
Let me start off by saying we are avid Cedar Point visitors. We generally visit the park 4-10 a year. I was excited to combine my love of camping with my love for the park. My first reaction was this is going to cost how much?!? . The price per night was some of the most expensive I have ever paid for. I spent more on one night then I would for a week at a state park. We upgraded to a premium patio option bringing the grand total to right around $158, with tax and fees. We arrived at check in on a Sunday and met with our first line. The system they have for check into a camp site is time consuming and could be stream lined. We arrived at our site that appeared to be not completely ready however the gentlemen cleaning stated that he just needed to finish up the grill. Hooking up I found that the system had marine backflow preventers on the water that smashed my inline water screen. We spent the afternoon in the park and returned for lunch. I discovered that the grill was not a gas grill however it was a charcoal grill that I didn t have charcoal for. That night we spent time by the fire just be prepared for the midgies. They do not bite and are the sign of good health of the water however they are EVERYWHERE. That night was quiet. The next morning I awoke and we spent 2 hours in the park before returning for checkout. My kids where running around and I noticed some broken glass on the ground (not from us we only use cans and plastic). I tried to sweep it up so my kids wouldn t cut there feet. Overall it s convenient. The amount of money I saved on buying a lunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch again paid for the site. I believe the reason they charge so much is because they can. Every single site at this place was full on a Sunday night. The bathroom where very clean and the view of the lake was nice. I think next time however I will utilize the parking lot for meals and sleep somewhere else close by. I hope this review help someone in the future and enjoy your time at Cedar Point .... America s roller coast!!!! :-)
