The campground is beautiful and well maintained, with paved roads and huge sites with a lot of buffer room in between each site. Located on a lake with a beach, the entire campground is dense with 50ft pines adding to it's overall appeal. The park is very pet friendly, with a small section of beach designated for dogs. We really enjoyed the wealth of outdoor activities in the park and in the area. The only negative comment I have is on the restrooms. There are two large restrooms/bath houses in the park and both get cleaned once a day. The larger bath house is right next to the playground, rec hall and beach, so it gets a lot more use. Each time I used it, it was dirty - full trash cans, water on the floor, etc. I think if they went to twice a day cleaning, the problem would be resolved. I found myself walking to the other bath house further away because it received less use and was more clean.
Beautiful sites, beautiful scenery, clean, great stuff for kids. I would recommend this place to anyone!
We have been coming here for something like 15 years. RVs included pop-up tent trailers, travel trailer, fifth wheel and now a Class A. Admittedly, the bigger the rig, the less sites that remain available. Back in the day, the restrooms remained clean. The sites are always large, tidy and include opportunities for privacy. As the rigs got bigger, getting into and out of sites has become more challenging. If they are going to continue to proclaim RV Class A capable, they need to work on improving site access and departure. The only problem we had was the left turn to depart the site. A stump was in the way and the turn was difficult. But in between was a very peaceful & much needed respite.
