Fit me in a spot with no reservation. Nice shade trees. Clean and tidy appearance. Reasonable pricing. Very helpful staff willing to help out with setup. Thanks a ton!

Place was packed but I found a place. Pool was closed for maintenance. Game room closes at 9. The bathrooms were clean but shower stalls were not in the best of shape - kinda old. Womens bathroom door doesn't lock. But overall a clean place.

The place was acceptable and clean. The women's restroom door wouldn't close completely do my wife was not impressed. The lot was level and hookups were easy to work with. The staff was friendly and helpful.

At office we had to seek out his help. The campground is doable for an overnight. The restaurant across the street had some good food at a reasonable rate. Best part is that is only 8 miles away from campground. There are kennels at the caverns but the dogs are more relaxed in the RV.

Super friendly staff, led us to the site. The site was reasonably level, gravel, utilities were center located, short to keep 25' trailer coupled over night but it worked. Restrooms/showers open but under a much needed renovation. Reservations ... early March and it was full!!

Stayed 3 nights. Clean and quiet. WiFi is really flakey, drops in and out. $42/night with Good Sam discount. Call ahead for a reservation, but recommend a stay here. Don't miss Carlsbad Caverns.
By user-5820853... on 2017-10-23.
All gravel and for the most part level. The reason for 2 stars is because rules are not enforced... Numerous long term campers walked their dogs off leash, barking dogs all night long, sites are shorter than they claim - they need to be measured again, and WiFi was horrible. Water pressure is near 100 so don't arrive without a regulator. I will not stay there again.

We stayed here for one night twice to and from Big Bend in March 2017. Pluses: 1) the people were friendly and they helped me with a problem. 2) this is a convenient stop to visit Carlsbad. Minuses: 1) this place is in need of maintenance. 2) the restrooms/showers are cleverly disguised as very cramped saunas with fixtures that need maintenance... hot, humid. The same shower that was out of service in March is still OOS. 3) LOTS of permanent residents including the oil field workers and they don't burn daylight .... traffic staring at 5:30am. I would have rated this 2 stars, but they helped me with my problem. Gravel and mostly level. Picnic table and no fire pit. Some sites are relatively spacious, and others it's 2' from your slide to the neighbor. 25' trailer 3 nights.

We were there only overnight, but enjoyed the camp a lot. The wifi was not working, but they were working on it. The indoor pool was small but warm and clean. The full time residents were quiet in the morning and aside from a bit of highway noise it was very quiet. The staff was great too.

Was a little hesitant to stay here based on other reviews. However we found the part to be totally acceptable. The Wi-Fi was one of the best we've had. Our site was andlong and the roads are wide. The gravel that we drove on was totally packed down and not a problem. Yes there are oil workers that stay here but these are some of the best kept long-term sites we have seen. In agreement with others the restrooms and showers are old and tired and in need of repair however we found them to be clean. The park is about a half an hour drive from the actual caverns.

We got the last spot for an overnight, $39 with Sams. Full hookup level sites quiet and clean. Didn't try the wifi but good Verizon coverage. Baths are tired but they say they are working on them. Especially given reviews of other parks near buy this is your best bet!

Clean and friendly. Did not use the bathhouse but the washers and dryers were efficient. Quiet at night.

Spent two nights at this RV park. RV park is clean. Sites are gravel and shorter than what the office claims - we had to move because we could not fit on the site. Water pressure is near 100 so make sure that you have a pressure regulator. They DO NOT enforce dogs on a leash. If you like barking dogs, then this is the place for you. A dog barked all night long. We paid $41.99 (with tax) per night. Not worth it. I will not stay here again.

Greeting in the office wasn't the friendliest. They do lead you to your spot which was nice because the spots kind of blend all together. Wifi was horrible. We were in spot 3B and apparently that part of the park doesn't receive the signal. When we asked the office about it she said you have to go over to a certain part of the park to get on and maybe it will stay with you by the time you get to your site. It didn't. The AT&T LTE was the slowest ever it was more like Edge network. Must have been some dead zone. Lots of permanent people that leave early in the morning to get to work. So if you have your windows open you hear them all leaving on the gravel road. It was a 45 minute drive from our spot to the Caverns parking lot, which does have a decent amount of rv parking.

Not quite at the park, but not in town either. Minutes from shops. Large roads, long pull through sites. Lots of workers live here, but in nice rigs. Cable is basic channels only. Cell coverage good, wifi secured. Overall, a good camp
By user-6401813... on 2017-10-23.
Pros: Great location to access town & carvens. Not too much highway noise. Pull through sites make easy to set-up sites. Cons: Staff had difficult time checking us in. It seems their computer program and/or users are screwed up. The park is dirt & gravel...dust everywhere. Tight spacing sites. Group style restrooms are filthy. Shower stalls are very are small. Showers/restrooms need to be completely remodeled. Not much competition in the area.

This was the third stop on what to my wife and me was an extensive eight night trip, staying in four rv parks in Lubbock, TX, Ruidoso, NM, here in Carlsbad, NM and in Big Spring, TX. Taken "straight up" in comparison, this was the most expensive at $42 with some of the poorest physical facilities seen during the trip. Currently this region is experiencing an oil boom and accommodations of any sort are in short demand, enabling the park's owner to get top dollar for an inferior product The public facilities (bath and showers) are rough and poorly maintained. The driveways are gravel as are the "pads", themselves. The park also allows overnight campers that also places an increased load on the bath and shower facilities. The hosts in the front office are congenial and nice to deal with and this park in town is the nearest to the Carlsbad Caverns, about 25 miles away.

There are a lot of long term campers here and some are a bit trashy. Lots of barking dogs but really didn't bother us only here for 2 nights to visit the caverns. Workers were friendly. WiFi good. Pull through sites and full hookups a big plus for us not to stop and dump on our way out. Website looks way better then it actually is.

The park staff was very welcoming but that is the only high point of our stay. The park was the most expensive park we stayed at during our recent road trip and it certainly wasn't worth it. The park is cramped and probably over 75% of the residents are at least semi-permanent workers involved in the oil industry. Many of them left before 4 am warming their trucks, slamming trailer gates, etc making it difficult to sleep in. The wifi was horrible at best. This park for what they charge should deliver first class service and perks but what you get does not even qualify for economy class.

Carlsbad, NM Carlsbad RV Park: very urban. Traffic noise but not unbearable. Crowded but for an overnight OK. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in camp, its OK as a base. Mgmt is making infrastructure improvements - WIFI is on the list.

Was close to full when we were there. Lots of shade. WiFi was great. Would stay again.

Clean, good hookups, easy in and out, close to the caverns. The only reason I didn't give it more stars is the wifi wasn't good for us.

Pull through spots are short, wide gravel spots. Lots of long term residents (apparent oil boom?) But even so relatively quiet. Dog parks are NOT parks but a small gated area (the gates don’t latch) with very little shade. Tons of rules and the attitude of the staff was of forced sweetness; coarse but helpful. We just didn’t get a good “vibe” there and locked our stuff up when away or sleeping. 20 min to the caverns and given the area, probably on the nicer side. Overall, acceptable one night stay.

We stayed here one night on our first day in New Mexico. We started out by booking the wrong day and the front desk was able to switch us to the correct day without problem. Then we had to check out late because we had a problem finding a part for a part of our hitch that was broken. They were also very understanding with that. Overall their part went as well as it could have even though that day was very frustrating for reasons not related to the RV park. We ended up having to drive from Carlsbad to Roswell with no sway bar because we couldn't find a replacement part anywhere in Carlsbad. Not fun in the desert wind.

This is the desert and sites are gravel but wide and level. A few trees but not much shade. The Wi-Fi work great for us pretty fast. Pretty decent store. They have an indoor pool laundry room looks okay. they have gates for night security with swipe cards. we would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped here in a 27 ft trailer.

This is a very lovely park for New Mexico, and I'm pretty sure the only reason its so expensive is because its only about 20 minutes away from the park entrance. Nice and quiet, our fully hooked up site was perfectly level, good Wifi, neat little store. Would definitely reccomend for anyone who doesn't want the bare bones boondocking RV parking lot so common in the desert!

Went over and above to make a spot for us when our reservation was lost. Call for a reservation, very full with oil field. Nice gravel sites, all utilities work. Didn t try cable or WiFi.

Called to inquire about staying a week in their "sister" park, Windmill RV. The lady asked if we were staying a month and I said no just a week. She said "oh that poo ark is for monthly stays. You'll need to come down here to Carlsbad and talk to us." I said "ok we just need a week and our rig is 40 foot" so we go down there and get the "no spot for you" rudely. Just a bad experience all around. They could have told us over the phone they had no spot.
