We are in a 41' triple axle toy hauler with our harleys in the back. The road starts out bad and gets worse. It is nothing but 7.5 miles of washboard road. Uphill, downhill, on curves. It took us over 1.5 hours to go the 7.5 miles. I thought it was strange nobody else was in the short term section. On the flipside the staff was friendly (office hours from 9-2). We saw several small packs of deer walking through (and bedding down) the homestead. No wi-fi or phone service (we have at&t). We did have full hookups. Nice place to get away from it all. My rating reflects the road condition.
Burro Mountain Homestead is nestled in the tall pines of the Gila National Forest. We offer full hook-ups, shower house, and laundry. Enjoy ATV/UTV trails, hiking, and horseback riding. The historic lodge was built in 1914, and has been the visiting place of two of our US presidents.
