By user-6159825... on 2017-10-23.
Full Hookups. Great views.
Most sites are pull thrus.
Make reservations during winter. Fills up during season in winter. This is Borrego Palm Canyon Campground, not Tamarisk Grove someone listed.

Excellent desert camping
By user-5910283... on 2017-10-23.
This state park is an excellent place to dry camp or use full hookups. If dry camping, the upper loop has great rustic sites. Busy during the winter, but the shoulder seasons are quiet and spring evenings with a warm breeze are magical.

Its all true
By user-5883140... on 2017-10-23.
A beautiful setting with nice sites. Gravel, sand and pretty level. Our RV is small so we stayed in the loop closest to the Palm Trail head. No services there, flush toilets and token showers. Note their tokens are NOT the same as other CA state parks. Bathrooms were very clean. There is limited verison service too. This trail, is not to be missed. One if the prettiest hikes we have taken. Not because of the vista,. It the rocks and cacti is so varied you think you are walking in a garden.
$23 might be high for no service, but we have paid more. We certainly would come back again .

Great Desert Hiking

This is a great State Park. One of the few in CA with full hookups. Great hiking trails within walking distance from the park. We used www.getcampsites.com to find us a site during this busy time of year. Nice little town (Borrego Springs) with all the amenities. Don't miss the farmers market on Friday mornings in Christmas Circle.

Super clean Park! Friendly staff lots of activities. Make sure to checkout the visitor center. Views are awesome and they have a cool hiking trail inside the park. Stayed at the full hookup RV spot, lots of room between sites.

Got a full hook up as a walk-in. Level paved lot. Ranger was friendly and helpful. Restrooms unisex. Showers with tokens. There are coyotes in the area. No pets allowed on trails.
it was so peaceful and quiet, we stayed 3 days.the views were stunning!
The weather was perfect for January ~high in the 70 s lows 50. The views are stunning and the trail through the Palm Canyon was awesome! Start early on the hike for it gets real warm by noon. The hike took 4 hours and the views were breathtaking! We started at 8:00 am. Saw Bighorn Sheep!
If we ever pass this way again we will come back to this campground and make reservations.
